What's New in April ?

[previewyoutube="ZzGQwE7PY10;rightthumb"]

The past two months were rich in terms of content with several additional features.
But what are these new features that have been implemented? Let's check this out!

Let's talk about March a little bit, we added 3 new districts, so you can walk around the Arc de Triomphe for example, and these districts did not arrive alone, but with several new designs for your buildings.

We wanted to make parks and plazas more alive and make them one with the rest of your constructions. You can now add play areas, picnic areas and many more with the Terrain tool.
It's not just plazas and parks that have the right to be more alive, with the addition of VFX on your buildings.

You can now modify more things on your buildings, with the addition of several options, including the possibility of activating or deactivating blind facades, objects on the roofs or even store fronts.
And if you have designs that you use a lot of good news, adding a Recent category makes it easy for you to find them.

But what about April?

First of all, we have set up the Photo Mode, it will allow you to roam freely in your Paris to take the best pictures.
You can manage the position, the angle of the camera but also the focus, and this, in a completely free way.

Something that should please you, we have expanded again your playground with 3 new districts again, as well as the addition of several designs.
But also new 4 languages are appearing in the game Spanish | Italian | Pусский | 中文, be aware that the Russian translation is 100%.
Thanks to dedicated players !

Last but not least, welcome to Modding ! You will be able to create and share your models, as well as import models from other players of The Architect : Paris.
Come here to discover the modding world in our game : Modding Tool Guide (Steam)
We added two more sandbox modes with a no man's land Paris, with just a vacant lot, and a Vanilla Paris which was the older version.

And for our players who don't have big machines in terms of computers. We have what you need. Now, you can hide districts, that's allows you to reduce your CPU/GPU load when several districts are playable.

We will meet at the end of the week to elect our architect of the week !

Avril Update - Modding!

Hello everyone!

Today's the day for our last update of April!
It's a big one, we added new features we bet you'll enjoy!

Take care.

  • Added Auto Saves and updated save/load panels
  • Modding
The Modding tool is available! Create, upload, share or use "Designs" created by players around the world, that offer original and innovative architecture to your vision of Paris. You can access it from the Main Menu at any time. You can read our guide here: Modding Tool Guide (Steam)

  • Hiding Districts
Hiding a district allows you to reduce your CPU/GPU load when several districts are playable. Go to the Strategic Map, select the district you want to hide and click on the same button as to open it (you'll see an icon with an eye). We recommend that people with low specs hardware use it to avoid a downgraded experience.

  • New Sandbox modes
We added a step that gives you access to 2 modes: Empty Paris (Vacant land only) and Vanilla Paris (previous version).

  • Added CLUF / EULA pop-up when starting the game
  • Many UI tweaks and fixes on the Photo Mode
  • Added Mods panel with Steam Workshop support
  • Added confirmation popup when restoring any setting
  • Centered Drawing Board, Plot Editor and Strategic Map UI navigation

  • Fix assets disappearing along with camera's orientation
  • Fix several audio problems
  • Fix Designs switch giving unexpected Stories slider behaviour
  • Fix camera movement when clicking on a plot in Photo Mode, in Drawing Board
  • Fix Drawing Board helpers for Roof Objects, Shops and Blind Facades
  • Fix Welcome Popup language
  • Fix maximum number of plots possible in a block. Previously 512, the limit is now 2 147 483 646 plots.
  • Fix loading of saved game blocking all camera movements

  • Settings panel won't disappear when going to Main Menu from in-game Settings menu

On behalf of the team, I want to thank Nanito & PJC who participated to our Modding beta test and also our Russian Translators for reaching 100% translation today ♥
