Added Askillian Sun โ A mechanic present in the new desert locations!

Added puzzles: - Music doors! Play the lute to open these doors - Weight Triggers! Place physics objects on the weight plate until it is fully pressed - Rotating Statues! Make the statues face a certain direction to complete the puzzle - Blocked/Locked doors. Blocked doors can only be opened from one side, creating more interesting locations that can only be accessed in certain ways. Doors also work as lockpicking doors. - Rune Wheels - Rotate the wheels so they are all pointing to the correct runes! - Windwheels โ spin the wheel with constant damage to open doors! (The new Aeromancy spell โBillowโ is a good choice with these puzzles!) - Lumistrike Crystals โ Hit these crystals to activate them! Some are timed, requiring you to hit all of them before they deactivate. - Keywing Scarabs โ Chase these scarabs to get them to unlock the doors associated with them! - Sun Mirrors โ Stand near them and press the interact button to adjust the beam that the mirror creates!

BALANCING/ADJUSTMENTS
WOODCUTTING AND MINING REBALANCE:
โ Goal: Grant Woodcutting and Mining levels more frequently and allow the player to gather more resources faster, while also incentivising players to harvest resources that are at their Woodcutting or Mining level. โ Woodcuttting/Mining Level Progression changes: Shifted all resource level requirements to be higher than before - but also dramatically increased the EXP you gain from harvesting them. The amount of Woodcutting/Mining EXP the resources grant you should be paced much better than before, with higher level resource granting much more EXP! โ Resources: You have a base bonus loot chance of 15%. The higher your level relative to the harvestables level increases the bonus chance! For example - if you're level 30 Woodcutting and you chop down a level 1 tree (Pine trees), you have nearly 50% chance to earn bonus loot with each hit! You also now gain between 1-3 extra resources for bonus loot hits. This should help lessen the grind for basic materials, especially if you're a high level in the repective harvesting skill.
CALENDAR SYSTEM REWORK:
โ All dates will now have some form of event happening somewhere in the world. โ Changed the way events are selected, allowing for specific areas to recieve unique events (will be usefull when new kingdoms are added!) โ Added descriptions to all calendar events

The fresh spring air is about to arrive in the lands of Eudros, and while you're hunting or taking a nap in a flowery meadow, there's someone who - hidden in some hole in the ground - judges your deeds... ๐ฐ
You'll soon know what I'm talking about, but first of all, welcome to our usual appointment with the State of Eudros, our monthly summary with the latest news from the world of The Bloodline and glimpses of what's cooking! ๐ฅ
IN THE LAST MONTH...
As you know, our Milo is tireless, and even in the last month, we released a significant update that added new content, including weapons and events on the calendar, optimizations, and improvements, followed by an inevitable hotfix to promptly respond to your feedback. You're incredible bug hunters, we must admit it!
Speaking of hunting, a mysterious creature in the verdant lands of Eudros demands a favor that you canโt refuse (literally!)
BRING THE EGGS, OR PAY THE PRICE. ๐
As you may have guessed, a new update is already on its way, and this time it will address one of your most urgent requests: full keybinding for keyboard/mouse is coming! With the next update, you'll be able to test control mapping to your liking and, above all... give us feedback. This feature has been tested internally but may not yet be in its final form, which is why your reports will help Milo refine it and promptly address any issues that may arise.
Along with this, get ready for an Egg Hunt that couldn't possibly be missing from our first Easter event. The Aegis Eggs are scattered all around the Khenmoore Flatlands, and a deadly creature by the name of the Grimclaw Burrower demands that you donate at least one egg if you enter its burrow! If you don't, you'll pay the price. ๐
If you meet the demands, you can acquire the adorable and swift Meadowstrider Mount - capable of jumping really high - and The Grimclaw itself as a companion, a combat-focused companion that leaps at enemies and can dish out some big damage!
COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS: VALENTINE'S DAY CONTEST & ODD JOBS
To celebrate our first Valentine's Day together, we asked the community to find the perfect location for a romantic date in the lands of Eudros, where to pop the most important question: "Will you slay goblins with me forever?" ๐ The prize? An extra key of The Bloodline to gift to your sweetheart.
All the proposals were top-notch, but you can admire the winning works chosen by the community and Milo below:
Another one of our Community Design Challenges has come to an end, and in this round, we asked players to propose some... Odd Jobs! These are quick and fun assignments that donโt quite fit into specific guilds but would be posted on the city assignment boards instead.
Here are some of the proposals that we particularly liked:
Tavern Bouncer by KingYaga The bandits are drunk, causing problems and don't wanna leave....make them.
Local Witch Calls in Sick by Spanks Masterson The local witch's coven is gathering for their seasonal potluck but Esmerelda would much prefer to go on a picnic with her boyfriend instead. She can't call in sick AGAIN so she begs you to help. Since the coven needs 13 witches to make a quorum (and she's the 13th) you'll need to put on her creepy hooded cloak and attend in her place. Since the cloak is rather voluminous, they'll never know it isn't her. All you have to do is take a place in the circle for the opening ceremony and then you can leave. Easy money.
Issue: After the player takes a place in the circle they discover that the witches are summoning an incubus for Becky's bachelorette party. Surprise! Sadly, the player doesn't do their part to help (they have no clue what to do) and as such the witches summon a significantly less friendly demon. The coven decides that the bachelorette party is over and teleports away, leaving the player to deal with the monster.
Drinking Competition by Eakagus Drinking contest, pass out from drink & wake up in a cave or something still drunk. Classic.
Of course, the purpose of these challenges is to unleash your imagination: we can't guarantee that these ideas will be added to The Bloodline exactly as they were imagined, but they will certainly be a great source of inspiration for future content! In the last month of 2023, a lot has happened, and the work behind the scenes has never stopped, between one holiday treat and another.
In the meantime, we kept taking notes over your feedback and listening to your suggestions, which are essential for the game's evolution.
So, a new update is just around the corner, and we have a small preview for you!
AN ARROW TO CHASE THEM ALL ๐น
A lot is simmering in the pot for this update. Among bug fixes, optimization, and various improvements, get ready to test new weapons and skills!
A new ranged weapon will be introduced, the One Above Death, a bow capable of locking onto targets and launching seeking magical arrows, excellent for facing even the most elusive enemies. You will be able to find it in... Oh, well, will you be able to find it?
You will also find an Expanded Three Sisters Forest, new Two-Handed Weapon passive skills, a new Two-Handed Weapon skill - a short-range dash that allows you to close the distance on enemies, and the new dazzling Moonstone Weapons to โpunish in the name of the moonโ cit. ๐
Our fellow Necromancer will enjoy some additions: Tons of Necro summon buffs (increased health, damage, lifetime), a new Necro spell, and 7 new Necromancer passive skills!
In conclusion, get ready to say goodbye to the beloved Wood Bundles... ๐ชฆ
COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS: OVERWORLD EVENTS ๐
The Community Design Challenges are back! For the new Harbingers, these are Discord-only events in which YOU all get to design some content that has a chance at making it into the game.
For this round, we asked the community to imagine and propose fun Overworld Events that they would enjoy encountering in The Bloodline.
Here are some of the proposals among the most voted by the community and Miloโs favorites:
Peasants Under Attack by Iskenos It's a dangerous world out there! Enemies set ambushes for the harbinger all the time, why wouldn't they ambush traveling civilians or even merchant caravans? They totally would! This overworld event would be stationary. If the Harbinger chooses to participate: They can choose if they want to help the civilians for the warm fuzzy feeling you get inside for protecting the weak and get a nice reputation bonus in the nearby settlement(s) and potentially a reward in the form of gold and loot! OR The harbinger can choose to viciously murder the civilians with the help of the "bad guys" and get a cut of the spoils! Or you could just kill everyone if you're feeling extra chaotic today!
Cultist Ritual by NotsoNecro You come across a group of Necromantic Cultists trying to summon a lich. You can either watch and let the ritual play out, getting to fight a beefy Lich miniboss, or you can clear through all the cultists for some basic loot.
Night Creatures by Sharark Meetings for those who like to play as a monster hunter: Vampires, Werewolves, Ghouls, Witches, Hellhounds, Ghosts, Trolls, etc...
Traveling Merchants by Eclipse Like a group of traveling merchants that sell basic items, think potions, arrows, bullets, and things like that, but there's a chance that they also have unique weapons and/or pieces of armor.
Druid's Grove by Azirin Adding in a druids grove where the player could do some druidic studies or play a racing mini-game (give the player a potion of mouse or have the druids cast rabbit on them upon accepting the race). Have the reward for completion be a bit of extra Druid exp or harder to find food components.
Join the Crusade by Sirdesmo Paladins are battling a local necromancer, join the fight and pick a side.
Of course, the purpose of these challenges is to unleash your imagination: we can't guarantee that these ideas will be added to The Bloodline exactly as they were imagined, but they will certainly be a great source of inspiration for future content!

ALL skill trees have been revamped to function the same way as the dagger skill tree! Happy respec-ing!
Vampirism has been transferred to the new disease system - now, after having contracted the disease, a countdown will be shown under the HP/MP/STAM bars. Once it has run off, the player will become a vampire and will learn the first Vampirism skill.
