This exciting new patch adds the following new features!

-Features-
-You can now shoot using the Termi-57's Laser gun when travelling through space with the 'A Key" or the R button on the controller. This was suggested to us, that there should be more to do when going from sector to sector. It's early work, and there's more action coming to the game at a later stage.

-If you enter an uncharted section of space, you have the option of warping using the 'W key' or the L button to a known sector (usually near a galaxy gate or planet.) This was heavily requested the players that were getting lost.

-You will also now have a notification on which sector of space you are in, instead of having to rely on memory and the map, making exploring much more enjoyable!

-Energy Cores will flag up as being in Energised or warped sector, making them easier to find than before.
-The Time & Space Relic count will now be shown in the Rune Grid when moving between nodes, without having to go back to the centre to view the amount avaliable.

-Bug Fixes-
-We've fixed a bug in the save window where graphics would not display properly.
-We've fixed a graphical bug in the Sirius System map.

4.3.2201 Patch

A really exciting patch, Spacefarers!
We are happy to announce our partnership with Psychronic Games, developer of Star Shift Series. With this partnership, they have worked alongside us to bring many new graphical updates to The Dawning Clocks of Time.

We are also very excited to announce that an amazing team is now working on voice acting for the game. It will some time yet before that update will be here, but in the meantime, you will see a 'Enable Voices' option in the game. Currently, it is disabled.

With that, here is the full list of changes that this patch brings;

New and Improvements
-You can now land on Proxima B! The planet didn't make it into the game, until now. In the future there will be more of the planet to explore, but the artwork has been completed, so we are so happy to add the planet to the game.
-New overhauled graphics for the Archon Prison on Blue Moon, more fitting for the sci-fi setting. Special thanks to Psychronic Games for thier beautiful artwork here.
-The mini-map is now transparent instead of having a blue surrounding which allows you to see more of the game's screen.
-Further to our work on making the game widescreen, we've enhanced scenes such as Aether where the cropping reduced the view of the area.
-Improved launcher startup time by optimising code.
-Support on the launcher will now check if you are running the game from an SSD for optimal gameplay.
-The launcher will now show the CPU clock speed and SSD alongside the GPU for support purposes.

Bug Fixes
-Fixed Blue Moon Plains being too zoomed in making navigation difficult.
-Fixed an overlay issue with Blue Moon outpost being displayed incorrectly.
-Fixed aspect ratio display issues on certain scenes.
-Fixed a potential crash from occuring on some PCs.

4.2.1901 Patch

This patch fixes/improves the following;

-We've reduced the installation size from 9GB to 6GB by removed redudant patch files, allowing the game to be downloaded more quickly.

Fixes
-Fixed Credit icon from appearing over text in the menu.
-Fixed Summon Pluto consuming a large amount of Dawning. It is now fixed at 35% for each summon.
-Pluto Strike and Pluto Wish damage has been doubled.

-Better Time and Space rewards from bosses.
-Slower scrolling speed of text on Progenitor Scenes.

4.2.1801 Patch

-The game is now finally presented in widescreen! This was a huge effort as the game had to be resized piece by piece and all assets and events redone to fit. We cannot thank our community and players enough for their feedback for the game. We've finally got there!
-Dawning is now regenerated slowly when landed on planets or walking around. This does not apply to starship flight
-When landed and travelling, you'll recieve payments every now and then from Vita Base. Amount awarded depends on Sven's LUCK stat. It's only right you should get paid for fighting for the galaxy!
-We've added the option to try the Karak Invader fight again. In line with this, we have corrected story elements to say that the party almost got killed instead of saying they won.

Fixes and mprovements
-We've updated the 4x4 hog sprite to a more modern one on the Aether intro.
-Adjusted zoom levels of maps to show more surroundings but keeping with the cinematic look.

-Fixed graphics glitch when travelling through galaxy gates, the animation would get duplicated before.

-Progenitor Weapon base moxie stat adjusted for rebalance.
-Added message of how to resurface when first going underwater.
-Fixed Ending Scene layering issues.
-Fixed bug where it was possible to skip picking up the Progenitor Axe and temporarily break progression.
-Fixed bug after talking to David Corwen would not change the quest to 'Find Vita' to 'Travel to Pallas'.
-Fixed bug with map menu on areas.
-Added Sven speech when interacting with Progenitor Derelict, pinpointing that you need to find the intact ship in Alpha to help avoid confusion.
-Added Finale DLC load point and initial teaser movie of Ing's Planet after ending of the game.
-Karak Marshall HP has been reduced to rebalance difficulty.
-Swamp Hound HP has been reduced to rebalance difficulty.
-Progenitor Ghost HP has been increased to rebalance difficulty.
-Gigatan NU'L HP has been increased to rebalance difficulty.
-The Nullifier HP has been increased to rebalance difficulty.
-Engine Fix- When the game window loses focus, it no longer pauses and interupts movie playback and stops desync happening to audio. Also incredibly useful for streamers!
-Fixed swarming of karaks when in Progenitor Battle cutscene.
-Updated Game Engine that fixes performance issues.

Expect some further updates along the way, as part of our development effort for the next installment 'Finale'. Due to the huge amount of changes this patch brings, we will be performing some smaller A/B testing updates as we finalise our vision for the game.

The Finale Expansion - Coming 2023

Hi all Spacefarers, and happy holidays!
We are so excited to share some updates with you all. The Finale Expansion for The Dawning Clocks of Time is well underway and is due for release in Summer 2023. It is both a continuation of the story and gameplay which closely follows the book, but is also a huge re-imagining and rework of the entire game as a cohesive whole.

What to expect
-The New Beginnings Chapter of the story, which includes new characters, spiritual beings and a Film Noir style presentation with incredible cinematics. We have been using Unreal Engine 5 to render the 3D (Instead of Unity, as we used previously) and then using compression to create 2D frames. The character models are getting revamped, along with enviroments. We are still keeping the original charm of the game by adding pixellation.

-A new graphics engine- We made a huge overhaul with the recent 4.0 patch release, but we are going even further. The technical underpinnings of the game engine, although upgraded to Direct3D11, it's really starting to show it's age, so we've been reworking the entire engine. When we release The Dawning Clocks of Time - Finale the game will present itself as 5.0. That's because, essentially, it will be a whole new game. This will bring beautiful graphics with 3D parralaxing techniques. Ing's Planet in the story needs 3D to be presented well, so we are making these changes as required.

-The Expansion will still be free. Although it's the biggest one yet, and the technical work going into this is immense, the DLC Expansion will, like the others, remain free. We may however, need to raise the base cost of the main game to recoup these costs.

-New Battle System- The battle system is being revamped. It will still remain turn based but we are going to add more action into it's working. No button mashing, but more tactical style gameplay.

-More characters and choices matter- If you've read the novel! There's some brand new characters that are getting added to the Rune Grid, who will be essential to play as you reach the grande Finale!

-Weekly development updates- We will be releasing, starting with the new year, weekly development updates as we close in on August 15th. (Release Day) This will include new screenshots, concept art, beta test invites and more!

-We invite all of your feedback and comments!- It's been a great year for Spacefarer and it is all thanks to our players. More than ever we invite you to come join us on this development journey as we progress towards making this the best version of TDCOT that we can. We look forward to sharing the journey with you.

Happy Holidays!
