The Elder Scrolls Online: Firesong & Update 36 Now Live on PC/Mac
Protect the Legacy of the Bretons and bring your year-long adventure to its conclusion in The Elder Scrolls Online: Firesong and Update 36.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Firesong and Update 36 base game patch is now live on PC/Mac and arrives on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 consoles November 15.
Explore an all-new zone, discover the ancient lore of the druids of the Systres, and confront the Ascendant Lord in this final part of the year-long Legacy of the Bretons adventure.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Firesong
The untamed island of Galen, home to the druidic circles of the Systres Archipelago, is mired in chaos. The Breton city of Vastyr suffers unrelenting raids from Dreadsail pirates, while the Firesong Circle has started a war between the druids of the Systres.
In this new story DLC, you will venture into the heart of a primeval new zone, assist the noble Society of the Steadfast and House Mornard, and uncover the forces and motives behind the chaos that has engulfed the island before it encompasses all the Systres. Face the Ascendant Lord
This new DLC also includes bonus quests that you can unlock only by completing the Firesong AND High Isle Chapter main questlines. In these additional adventures, you’ll bring a final close to the year-long Legacy of the Bretons saga and confront the Ascendant Lord once and for all.
Explore Wild Galen
Primeval and wild, Galen has been home to the druids of the Systres for an age. In this new zone, you will have an opportunity to explore a world apart from those you’ve already experienced in the High Isle Chapter and get lost within the mysterious island’s dense jungles and perilous lava rivers. Explore an all-new zone
In the new zone, you’ll have an opportunity to dive deep into the druids of the Systres and their connection to the Bretons of High Isle and Tamriel. From the city of Vastyr, a bastion of “civilization” in an otherwise untamed land, you’ll set out into the deep wilds and discover a host of new challenges, including new delves, roaming world bosses, volcanic vents, and stand-alone quests and storylines. Learn more about the new zone in this preview.
Uncover Unique Rewards
As you venture into Galen, you’ll have an opportunity to earn unique rewards equal to the zone’s dangers, including new item sets, titles, Achievements, and collectibles. This includes the Firesong Obsidian Mask (a free adornment earned simply by entering the new zone), the Phoenix Moth pet (one of many quest rewards), a host of special styles earned via the Antiquities system and Tales of Tribute, and much more. Receive unique rewards
In addition to the above, Firesong also introduces a brand-new Tales of Tribute patron: the Druid King. Unlocked by completing various zone activities, the Druid King patron and deck rewards those who carefully set up combos, and it can set up big swings in both the mid and late game. Learn more about the new patron and deck in our preview. Don’t forget, you’ll need both Firesong and the High Isle Chapter to unlock and play this new Tales of Tribute deck.
Getting Started in Firesong
The Firesong DLC is free for all ESO Plus™ members and available for purchase for 2,000 crowns from the in-game Crown Store (listed under DLC). Note that if your ESO Plus membership lapses, you will lose access to the DLC until you renew or purchase the DLC with crowns, but you won’t lose any items or progress you earned while you had access.
If you acquired access to Firesong via the Heroes of High Isle Reward Bundle, the DLC will be waiting for you in your collections and you can jump right in. Firesong Collector’s Bundle
Releasing in tandem with the base DLC, the Firesong Collector’s Bundle is also available in the in-game Crown Store for 4,000 crowns and includes Cinderstone Kagouti mount, the Companion's Wolf Pup pet, and Crown Experience Scrolls. You can find the Firesong Collector’s Bundle in the Featured section of the Crown Store.
Once you have access to the Firesong DLC, you can begin your exploration of this volatile part of Oblivion by the following methods:
By teleporting directly to the Vastyr Outskirts Wayshrine from your map
By using the DLC tab of your Collections UI and accepting the “A Sea of Troubles” quest from the Zone DLC section
When you arrive in Galen, you can discover the new zone, begin the DLC’s storyline, or simply explore—it’s up to you! The first time you enter the zone, you’ll receive the Firesong Obsidian Mask collectible completely free as a bonus collectible reward.
Update 36-Base Game Patch
Releasing in tandem with the Firesong DLC, the Update 36 base-game patch is a free update for all ESO players that introduces Simplified Chinese localization to the game’s text along with a host of balance changes, bug fixes, and new features. These new additions include the ability to place unique target markers on enemies (allowing you to better coordinate with your allies), a text-to-speech accessibility option, the option to hide class pets within cities and towns (no longer will your crafting station be blocked by an unwelcome bear butt!), and a series of improvements to the Housing system. In particular, the Housing improvements feature the ability to create chat links within your homes, provides greater visibility as to whose house you’re currently visiting and how many people are currently present, grants the ability to see a full list of furnishings within a home, allows you to cycle through items with the Tab key, and implements improved placement alignments for hundreds of different wall-hanging furnishings. We can’t wait to see how the Housing community makes use of these new features and improvements!
Explore an untamed world, dive deep into the lives and culture of the druids, and fight to defend Galen from threats within and without. In the The Elder Scrolls Online: Firesong, you’ll finally be able to confront the Ascendant Lord and bring your Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure to its epic conclusion. Are you ready to venture deep into the perilous wilds of Galen? Let us know via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!
The Elder Scrolls Online: Firesong and Update 36 base game patch is now live on PC/Mac and arrives on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 consoles on November 15.
