The time has finally come to let you experience the first Content Update for The Pegasus Expedition. And we have listened to your calls, bringing you one of the most requested features - more playable factions. There are four right now, with more coming later on. Choose wisely, Directors, since you will be the one shaping the fate of the whole Pegasus galaxy!
You will not be able to pick a different faction in the narrative campaign, but in the new game mode we are introducing - scenarios. Each scenario is a new way to play The Pegasus Expedition, without the story structure of the main campaign, and lets you experience different situations and settings. Each Content Update will bring a new scenario, and the first one is called Scattered Empires, which is akin to a typical sandbox 4X gameplay - you will start at a random location in the galaxy, with the fleet you picked, and are tasked with constructing 6 Arges Facilities in 6 different colonies.
We are also dealing with some minor issues that needed to be addressed. You can check the full patch notes below. Thank you very much for reporting all the bugs you found, suggesting all the features you'd like to see in the game and for supporting us throughout our Early Access journey.
Join our growing community by stepping through this portal, it will take you to our Discord where we can chat about anything you want. Also don't forget to follow our publisher on their Social Media accounts so you never miss anything!

Scattered Empires Update Coming Soon!
Greetings, Directors!
As we outlined in our Early Access Roadmap, we will soon be releasing the first Content Update for The Pegasus Expedition. It doesn't bring any major changes to the main story campaign (even though we will be squashing multiple bugs with it), the main event of the release is a brand new way to play the game: Scenarios!
A scenario differs from the main story campaign in that it lacks the narrative structure, has different objectives and very different settings. The first scenario we are introducing is called Scattered Empires - it will find your intrepid expedition at a randomized starting location in the Pegasus Galaxy, with the objective to build 6 Arges Facilities in 6 different colonies. All gameplay mechanics and features are of course in place as you know them from the main campaign, you are free to explore, colonize, research and wage war throughout the galaxy as you see fit, in a more traditional sandbox 4X experience. And do not worry, all future improvements and new features will of course apply to all scenarios as well.
That is not all however - unlike in the story campaign, in scenarios you can pick different playable factions. With Scattered Empires, we are introducing the 4 human fleets to choose from, each with varying advantages and disadvantages, significantly affecting your playstyle and gameplay experience. More will come during Early Access, stay tuned!
And since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is 4000 words-worth of screenshots introducing the playable factions coming with Scattered Empires (click to enlarge):
Thank you very much for your support, we are open to any kind of feedback - to let us know what you think about the upcoming update and stay informed about the game, join the Discord server of the developers, Kalla Gameworks, and follow Fulqrum Publishing social accounts, we will be happy to chat with you!

Changes:
Changes to the Attack on Anabah quest: There is now a timer of 15 turns, and if the player doesn't succeed, the Empire has her fleets readied and will start an extremely strong offensive. Succeeding within those 15 turns is recommended.
Changes to the Tamanin Empire behaviour: The Empire can commence few smaller military operations even before the point when their mobilization is ready. Previously they would be very passive despite having just declared war.
Station combat power will now be shown in the pre-combat view so that the player knows their impact to the battle.
Small changes to the starmap around Yksae system of the Ror-clan to make their territory more defendable.
The Portal fleet is now called "The Second Portal", its sprite has been updated, and its location is shown as a beam in order to differentiate it from normal fleets.
Changed description of the quest Final Push to make it clearer what the player is expected to do.
Hanoar Clique will now have defense stations on its own territory, to give them a more fair chance.
The Portal "star" on the map had it's sprite updated to match its appearance elsewhere
Nemesis fleets have been renamed to Nemesis fleets, instead of normal naming system
Fixes:
Fixed some missing localization lines
Denying a protectorate proposal could lead to the same faction proposing it over and over
Player wasn't always able to build Tier 3 ships properly, and in proper quantities
The end game quest involving the foothold in N214R could get stuck and block progression, it has been fixed
Hiring a governor when there were only human options could still lower reputation
Decontamination will clear stations properly, earlier the infestation could remain
Language selector supports widescreen
Fixed a bug where AI turn could last forever
The stars in a late game location called Test-1, Test-2 etc. are now named properly
Some technology prices were incorrect, they have been fixed.
Defend against the Hanoar Offensive - quest could be shown twice, leaving the second one active forever even after completion.
Another update for The Pegasus Expedition!
Greetings Directors,
The Pegasus Expedition has been swimming in the Early Access waters for two weeks now. During that time, many of you were able to play the game and provided us with a lot of feedback, which we are really grateful for!
Indeed, this update focuses on changing / fixing / tweaking things that you, our dearest community, pointed out. Please, keep doing that, it really helps us make The Pegasus Expedition a game all of you can enjoy as much as possible - so go on, give us more tips and suggestions so we can improve it further!
Improved optimisation of GPU usage and performance.
The start of the game has been made a little easier by giving the player more starting resources and reinforcements, and adjusting the Ror Clan AI.
Capturing territory from the Hanoar Clique right after it spawned was too easy, they now have their fleets ready earlier.
Transit stations and their tutorialisation have been moved further into the campaign from the start, as they are unnecessary in the beginning.
Visual distinction between a harvestable asteroid belt and a non-harvestable asteroid belt has been made clearer.
The Tamanin Empire was able to declare war very quickly after diplomatic contact even if the player hadn't acted aggressively. They will now wait longer if the player doesn’t provoke them.
Fixes:
The player was able to end their turn before their first move in the campaign, they now need to make their first move.
Removing a Supply hub didn’t remove the energy price correctly, that has been fixed.
Upgrading a settlement to a colony would not correctly be counted in the quest counter.
Fixed a possible freeze in Maelstyrakh sidequest, and a false notification telling the players allies refused an alliance they actually did not refuse.
Station Construction and Repair could become available earlier than intended.
The first Galactic Reputation pop-up could come up too early.
Saving and then loading could deplete a fleet’s movement points if located in foreign territory.
That's it for today! If you have not played The Pegasus Expedition yet, go ahead and try the DEMO. It's completely free!
