0.9.23-0.9.25 – new pathfinding system



Hey survivors!

0.9.25 contains a renewed navigation pathfinding system, which ensures a smoother in-game animal movement. From now on, creatures in-game create their path not by using a regular square grid, but using a Navigation Mesh. This system will minimize issues, in which creatures got stuck and stopped moving altogether.

Be warned, you may still encounter some issues with animals moving through terrain - and we will resume our work on improving pathfinding and eliminating any issues that might occur. We would also greatly appreciate any and all feedback concerning issues you may encounter in-game.

Other improvements and fixes:

* Your blows now hit both animals and objects when they are standing close to each other
* Fixed a bug that forced a 'black screen' after teleporting into the past in 'The Door' quest
* Fixed a bug that made animals stand still and not drop resources

0.9.22 – Fixes

Hey survivors!
Just a bunch of small but important fixes and updates.

Fixes:

— Fixed a bug which caused save files to disappear from loading menu;
— FIxed a bug which caused cursor to stay inside an initial window borders when going full-screen;
— FIxed a bug which caused weapons to randomly inflict damage upon touching objects;
— Fixed a bug which stopped character from restoring heat after reaching HUB station;
— Fixed a bug which caused vegetable growind animation to halt after loading the game;
— Fixed a bug which caused disappearance of ammo upon dragging it out of equipment screen.

Changes:

— Changed the hunger growth rate, depending on the amount of heat: the less heat, the faster the hunger is growing.

0.9.19 - 0.9.20 - Patch Notes & Improved Output Log

Greetings, Survivors!

Below's a list of fixes for patches 0.9.19 - 0.9.20

Fixes:


1) Fixed a grpahical issue with textures not loading properly, or items floating mid-air in certain cases.
2) Fixed an inventory issue - players were able to craft the "Heater" item in the Level 4 Shelter, instead of supposed Level 6.
3) Fixed a spawn issue, where a player could spawn incorrectly after transit to Mirrors station.

Changes:



1) Increased damage and durability cost of a Weapon Throw (RMB + LMB).
2) Increased the duration of the day-night cycle.

Output log and known issues



With this patch, we've improved the Ouput Logs for our game - which would increase our efficiency in detecting and fixing current save problems, as well as other possible issues.


Here's a list of current issues our community has pinpointed - and which will be fixed in the upcoming patches:

- Animals stuck in place, not dropping items upon death
- Game crashes while saving
- Animal placement synchronization issues
- Players not able to pick up items
- An enemy not dropping a key item during "Home, Sweet Home" quest.
- Greenhouse animations not working properly
- Connection problems with 8 players on the server
- Host's equipped items not appearing properly

0.9.16 & 0.9.18 – Fixes

Hey there! Sorry for some nasty bugs occurred in the latest update. Here's a list of fixes:

0.9.16



1) Fixed a bug which caused the endless loading of a saved game.
2) Fixed a bug with deer's sledge movement.
3) Fixed a bug which opened new transit system station after loading a saved game.
4) Fixed appearance of a wrong pop-up bubble when player arrives to the new transit system station.
5) Fixed the objectives of Home, Sweet Home achievement.

0.9.18



1) Fixed a bug which caused training dummy to spam XP gain messages
2) Fixed a bug which led to a visual disappearance of in-hand weapon after throwing a spear
3) Fixed a bug which caused a teleport terminal in 'The Door' to be unresponsive to activation

0.9.12 & 0.9.14 – Research Vault Update

1) Fixed a bug which stopped quest objects from lighting up
2) Fixed a bug which caused death upon crossing the bridge
3) Increased a chance of stumbling upon a beast when searching snow piles
4) The bunker door leading to the transit system is now always open, the terminal inside is active
5) Fixed a bug which displayed wrong bubble after setting a fire


A new Research Vault Update is now LIVE!

Additions:




  1. Added Scrap - a new Resource and Crafting component, search broken down Vehicles to collect it
  2. Player Revival added - you can now revive fallen Survivors in Multiplayer modes
  3. Blueprint System - you can now find Blueprints in the game world, use them to create new valuable tools and deadly weapons
  4. Snow Piles - examine to find valuable loot inside… or something dangerous
  5. New items added:



    - Circular Saw will quickly chop down trees and your enemies
    - Portable Heater is a great way to warm yourself and your party while raiding the wild
    - Repair Kits are your best friends if you want to keep your equipment functioning
    - Spiked Stick is just like an ordinary stick, but hurts more!
    - Taser electrocutes foes and stuns them for a couple of seconds — use this time wisely

  6. Added a new Side Quest, complete it to open a new Transit Station
  7. You can now name your Chests


Changes:



  1. Vapor-3 Transit System is now available from the start, and doesn’t require a key card for activation
  2. Added the ability to skip the Tutorial at any time from the Pause Menu
  3. Added the ability to cancel out building construction by pressing RMB



Fixes:



  1. Fixed a bug, which caused the animals to stop moving and dropping resources on game start
  2. Fixed a bug, where a game restart after The Door quest completion bugged the spawn placement
  3. Fixed a bug with chat lines not appearing properly in-game
  4. Fixed a sequencing issue with the Skip Tutorial option
  5. Fixed an issue with some items in the inventory not displaying their Durability and Damage properly in some cases
  6. Fixed a bug with the Bunker respawn - if a player died in the Bunker, his Warmth will deplete upon respawn
  7. Fixed a bug, where reloading the game reset quest tracking on the main quest
  8. Fixed a bug with filters in Server Selection screen not working properly

0.8.78 – Updated Status Bars & Item Pick Up Notification



Hey!

Just a small life improvement update... before something bigger is coming really soon!

Improvements:



  1. Terrain changes
  2. Changes to the Visual display of Player’s status bars: added critical point markers and red vignetting during critical state
  3. Fall Damage decreased by 50%
  4. Player’s items will now respawn, if the Player dies during the Sentinel event
  5. Added Item Notifications: every picked up item’s name will now be displayed above the character

  1. Fixes to a connection issue - recently connected Players’ map was not loading properly
  2. Fixes to in-game objects not displaying properly in some locations
  3. Fixes to an issue where dying after a falling down in one of the caverns didn’t respawn the player’s items properly

Hi!

Thanks for all your feedback. These hotfixes we released in the last couple of days in 0.8.70 and 0.8.71 builds.

  1. Fixed the save issue that caused loading the old savefile to result in the dropping of previously unlocked parts of the map;
  2. Fixed the issue, where the player coudn't interact with the central terminal in the quest Dark Matter;
  3. Fixed the gameplay issue, in which the reopening of the exterior doors of the complex in the quest Dark matter immediately launched a countdown timer;
  4. Fixed the gameplay issue, where the player could activate a dialogue with Scotty in the bunker by throwing object near the quest area;
  5. Fixed the sound issue, where player movement, ore mining and animal hit sounds caused clicking noises;
  6. Fixed the interface issue, where pressing the ESC button during the Skip Tutorial option window closed the window and did not activate any of the choices;
  7. Fixed the gameplay issue where restarting the game during training resulted in the loss of the marker of the main quest;
  8. You can no longer give Scotty a not-working lantern in the “Scotty Doesn’t Know” quest.

0.8.63 – New Side Quest & Tutorial

1. Added a new side quest - who is locked in the hub?
2. Added a new In-Game Tutorial - learn about in-game mechanices and take your first steps in the world of The Wild Eight.

Changes:



1. Changes to Throwing Stone mechanics - pressing RMB now automatically throws the stone when equipped

Fixes:



1. Removed the "damaged item" effect from Mushrooms, Berries and Meat eaten by Animals
2. Fixed the issue with the scroll bar in server selection menu not displaying properly
3. Fixed an issue with the "Prisoners" side quest, where the player could skip certain parts of the quest by re-starting the game.

0.8.58 — Turkish language, hunger state for animals, markers



Greetings from The Wild Eight Development Team! Below are the patch notes for version 0.8.58.

Additions:


  1. Added Turkish language
  2. All animals now have a “hunger” state - a chance to consume food, both growing in the world or thrown by the player – use it!
  3. Animals now respawn on the world map
  4. If a player dies by falling in a pit, his items will now be moved over to the edge of the fall spot
  5. You can now place Markers on the Map. Markers are visible by all players


Improvements:


  1. You can now toggle Friendly Fire on/off while creating a server
  2. You can now cancel setting up the trap by right-clicking during the set-up animation
  3. Added pre-loading the item icons in the Workshop
  4. Added missing localization lines describing the new battle system functions for all languages



Fixes:


  1. Fixed an issue with locking onto Isaac in the “Lost Future” side quest
  2. Fixed a sound issue, where Completed Quest sound notification on game start caused sound output overload
  3. Fixed an issue with purple fog not loading properly in the “Dark Matter” side quest
  4. Fixed an issue with the player not being able to get through the open doors in “The Door” side quest
  5. Fixed an interface issue with the Skill Upgrade window in the Bunker Training Room
  6. Fixed a bug in the “Dark Matter” side quest, where the door leading to the main hall only opened once
  7. Fixed an issue concerning the countdown timer in the “Dark Matter” side quest
  8. Fixed a bug, where completing the “Dark Matter” side quest partially killed the dark phantoms
