Version 0.5.0b Release: Hellfire (Beta Branch)
The long awaited Act 4 is finally here, just in time to dive into Hell at Halloween time! The Act 4 update is now available to be downloaded in the Beta Branch, where we will be testing and refining as we work towards a stable release. There are still a few things we will be expanding on or adding with this act, but we are excited to get this release out to everyone to play with the new content and give feedback. How do I download the Beta Branch?
Opting into a Beta branch is easy on Steam. Simply right click Time Break Chronicles in your Library, select Properties, and then click "Betas." From there you can select the Beta branch from the dropdown, and Steam will download the files for you. You do not need to enter a beta access code.

Finally, as mentioned, there are a few things to be aware of that are remaining to be finished up in future patches:
There is one more hero who is not quite ready for release
Act 4 bosses do not yet grant unique relics on defeat
Act 4 endless mode difficulty modifiers have not all been defined yet, though each tier is playable and enemy levels do increase.
Steam achievements have been added for the Act 4 bosses, but hero rescue achievements will not be added until the stable release. These achievements can be awarded retroactively once they are added.
Some of the new hero relics currently have stand-in art.
New hero lore/backstory blurb content has not been added yet.
For Singularity, the new heroes are available to unlock, but the new enemy encounters will be added in a future patch, along with a bit of change to the tiers to fit them in.
Patches will likely be coming fairly regularly in the coming weeks as we get the additional content done and respond to bug reports, etc.

Patch version 0.4.15, and another Teaser!
This patch mostly addresses some recent bug reports, and includes a couple of balance changes. The main new feature is a save backup system. We've had a couple requests from people who have lost their save file to the unknown void via Steam's cloud save system, and this should allow reverting to a backed up save in such a case.
Also, we've got another little teaser of upcoming Act 4 content: A fourth new hero joins our previously revealed group!

New Mechanic: Instability
The major change added in this patch is a new mechanic called "Instability." As a battle goes on and energy is released, instability of local space-time increases, and so does damage dealt by both allies AND enemies. Base damage has been reduced a bit across the board to go along with this change.
The main aim of this mechanic is to help make some of the longer, drawn out battles end more decisively, but it also means the early fight is somewhat less deadly and allows ramping/setup characters to shine more.
