Hi everyone! We know you all have been beyond excited for To The Rescue to release, so we have some pretty exciting news to share!

To The Rescue is now launching Tuesday, Nov 2nd! We completed the game a bit early and decided to go ahead and release it to you all!

Tuesday’s going to be an exciting day all around so definitely wishlist the game while you’re here so that you know exactly when the game launches on Tuesday!

This patch is a bit small but I wanted to try and address some of the save file issues players were having asap. Enjoy!

  • Improved the issue with dogs leaving kennels on their own.
  • Fix for adoptions not properly facilitating adoption actions (Trait, Discount,Emphasize,etc) and not accurately evaluating adoption success.
  • Fix for issue preventing saves from being deleted from the New Game panel.
  • Fix for dog animator occasionally becoming stuck in the idle-to-consume transition state.
  • Replaced incorrect bug report survey link.
  • Improved Score Panel functionality.

If you've been experiencing any bugs in the tutorial or the main story, you will likely want to make a new save file upon updated.

Fixes:


Altered some dog names in some languages.
The proper number of dogs should spawn in story mode
The tutorial should no longer become stuck during the first adoption.
Also, we should let people know that if they are experience the tutorial and story related bugs, they will likely want to make a new save file.

Localization Announcement

We wanted to post an exciting announcement regarding something we have been working on!

For a while now, we've been developing TTR with support for localization, but the plans for actually localizing were a bit hazy. However, we're pleased to announce that through our publisher, we have partnered with Gameeleon to localize TTR into 10 languages!

The following languages will be supported at launch:


  • English
  • French
  • Italian
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Chinese
  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Russian


We're so excited to be able to bring TTR to more people around the world. So, many thanks to everyone that has asked about it, as well as Gameeleon who is making it possible.

NextFest Demo Patch Notes

Fixes



  • The daily timer should no longer continue into the negative without triggering the summary sequence.
  • Visitors shouldn't get stuck on evaluating the first dog anymore.
  • Starting a new game mode should load the proper gamestate (Starting a sandbox game after playing the story should load directly to the stage 3 shelter)
  • Music should be back on the start menu.
  • Updrades to the leash and player inventory should be preserved on loading a save.
  • General stability improvements to mitigate issues that we have been unable to recreate.



Workarounds



  • Clear prior save files if you are continuing to have issues.
  • Try completely closing and reopening the game before starting a new game if they are having issues.
  • Camera stuck in some instances. Added a button in the menu to reset camera which should fix offset camera and black screen issues.
  • If the dogs start to do "the wave" and stop eating/drinking go to the shelter construction and click the "checkout" button. Don't ask why, but it works!
  • If the player gets stuck, look for the "reset position" button from the pause menu

Hopefully this will be the last patch we need to release for the demo. We are aware of some remaining issues but we hope that everyone can enjoy the remaining time with the demo in a more stable state!
