Characters + Increase Biggy defense by 1 (it can be really hard to start a new run with him). + Important changes on Catalysis capacity from Biggy. Poison effects are applied before they are removed from enemies. In addition, it now allows you to recover HP instead of MP.
Enemies + Bee's defense is reduced by 1, speed by 2. + Changes an battle setting where you could 5 Bees. The number of enemies is reduced to 4. + Plan's attack is reduced by 2.
Bug Fixes + Fixed an issue with the Plant enemy not correctly ending his turn.

THE SCARLET FOREST UPDATE
Continue your quest and take on new challenges in the new area to explore: the Scarlet Forest! After defeating the fury in the mysterious cave, you will discover a brand new environment full of colors. But beware, this level is full of creatures ready to devour you!
+ New Foes to challenge: fight 4 new types of enemies. + New Discoveries: experience new events with their unique set of choices to make and an atypical quest to complete. + New Emblems: find 6 new emblems and experiment with them to build the best combo possible. + New Playable Character: Biggy, the poison mistress is ready to join your group and crush the challenge! + New Boss: The Swarm, a monstrosity that lurks deep in the forest. + Updated Bonfire: the bonfire has been completely redone visually. In the future, there will be more interactions. + New Achievements: 12 new achievements to discover with some being hard to unlock!
OTHER CHANGES
Characters + Pejius' damage increased by 2. + Fixed an issue on Krouet's third capacity which was causing a miscalculation of damage. + Fixed an issue with Pejius passive. Damage on Fire Breath and Purge were not taking into account the bonus damage from burn stacks.
Enemies Almost every enemies from the first area see their stats tweaked. However, keep in mind the game has not turned suddenly easy as most of those changes are a direct response to emblem drop rate being reduced.
+ Spitter: attack and speed reduced by 1. + Crawler: attack reduced by 1, health by 5. + Browler: attack and defense reduced by 1. + Fury: attack reduced by 1, HP by 10.
Emblems + Changes emblem drop rate in combat from 75% to 50%. + Changes Shovel Emblem effect. Previous effect would garanteed a drop of emblem every fight if equiped. Now, gives an extra 30% chance to drop in combat. + Slightly lower the prices of emblems sold by the merchant in the first area.
**Miscellaneous** + Changes spots of player characters. The 3 spots have been shifted slightly to the left of the screen. This leaves more space between your group and the enemies. + Changes compression methods for large assets. You might experience better performance overall, even if it's not by much.
Known Issues + Some status effects displayed below characters and enemies are not correctly aligned. Will be fixed next patch. + Some mouse click sound effect are missing from previous build. Investigating the issue. + Biggy is not correctly aligned in Group Menu when he's displayed. Will be fixed next patch.

UI + Complete revamp of the Character Selection Menu.
Misc + Reduces amount of fragments of spirit needed to unlock all characters availables. + Add and changes some of the vfx actives in the first area (let me know what you think!).
Bug Fixes + Fixed a visual issue when the scar/reward animation for combat start playing (what happen is the scarf could appear in the middle of a previous animation instead of the begining for a fraction of second). + Fixed an issue affecting status effects. The display space was calculated incorrectly.

Content Update preview & Early Access Version 0.2a
The Scarlet Forest update will be released on August 22nd!
The Scarlet Forest Update is a major content upgrade for the game. What can you expect from this? Well, a lot of new content!
A brand-new area to explore with colorful art!
4 new type of enemies specific to this area, each with their own unique move set. Prepare yourself cause it won't be that easy to deal with them!
a new Boss battle waiting for you at the end of the Forest! This one will be though, not gonna lie. It will be very different than the Fury from the first area. You can expect a more complex and enjoyable fight for sure!
14 new discoveries with their own set of choices! All situations and choices are fully new (no copies from previous area) and some contain quests!
6 new emblems to discover and experiment with!
And of course, new achievements!
The next playable character is called Biggy and should also be included in this update, although I'm not 100% sure yet. If not, it will be released in the following week. Stay tuned for new information!
Early Access Version 0.2a - Build ID: 9259278
Environment + Changes environment procedural generation system: old system was timer dependant, which could cause visual issues for various reasons. The system has been entirely rebuilt, with more parameters added to be tweak easily. What it means for you is that performance side should be better and visually more consistent. More tweak will be add in future patches.
UI + Status effect display update: it's now possible to get proper description of an effect when you drag your cursor over the effect. Also, character's buff are now visible through this system.
Misc + Changes on how characters and enemies stats are loaded. No change for players at the moment (I'll talk more about that later but let's just say for now a new feature coming right after the Scarlet Forest Update will benefit from this change).
Bug Fixes + Fixed an issue where Kora's buff from Vivace capacity wouldn't be applied correctly. + Fixed an issue with Pandy's buff from Shield's Up capacity wasn't applied correctly. + Fixed an issue where characters could carry over buff/debuff from previous fights.
Balance Changes + Changed poison effect. It's now possible for the Boss to apply stack of poison to characters. Poison damage is 2 per stack per turn. This is a pretty big change, even if only the boss of the first area can poison you for now. Remember all status effects are removed at the end of combat. + Increase Pandy's DMG from 10 to 11.
Misc + UI now display a level indicator and an XP bar.
Achievements + New tentative fix to trigger achievements properly. Waiting for your feedbacks before adding new ones.
Bug Fixes + Fixed an issue where click multiple time on "Play" button in character selection menu was possible. + Fixed an issue where some resolutions could show behind the scene tooltip. + Fixed an issue where poison could still be active after a fight. + Tentative fix for all achievement triggers. + Fixed an issue where Pandy's Dash capacity was not working properly and could break the game. + Fixed an issue where death was not properly counted.

**Combat** + Add a UI display for player's characters showing status effect similar to the enemy. For now, only poison display will be visible on characters but next week I'll add the different buff as well. In a future patch, a tooltip will display a description of the effect on both characters and enemies (for now, it's just an image). + Changes enemy targeting system. The enemy now randomly chooses a target on each turn unless a character forced aggro (for now, only Pandy and Pejius can do that with Shield's Up and Hatred capacities). + Add screenshakes for most of the attacks from character to add some juice!
**Misc** + Changes Purge capacity description (Pejius character). No change for the effect. + As for the enemies in the previous patch, optimization of playable characters code. Will greatly decreased time of development for future characters. + Some text corrections, especially in emblem descriptions
**Bug Fixes** + Fixed an issue with character's stats (ATK / DEF / SPD). Pandy's nerf for example was not active. Pejius's defense was way too high (10 instead of 5) but his attack was lower than intended. For both, it's a big nerf. + Fixed Bravery Seal emblem not properly giving bonus to Krouet damage. + Fixed an issue where Krouet could still benefit from bonus stat from previous run. + Fixed an issue where poison could damage player multiple times in the same turn. + Fixed an issue with damage calculation for Sudden Touch and Wild Touch capacities (Krouet). + Fixed sound settings not properly saved between scenes. + Tentative fix for sound setting not properly loading after application restart.
**Update regarding NEW CONTENT** Yes! New content is coming! As I said previously, there is a big content update on the way. If everything keeps moving smoothly, the **Scarlet Forest** which is a brand-new area of the game accessible after beating the first boss should be ready **around august 22nd**. This new area is not just an environment, and it comes with 4 new enemies, new discoveries and of course, a new boss! Visually speaking, this area is so much different than the first. It's a big step up art wise (so much that I seriously consider doing a big update on first area art in the following months), and I'm confident you will love it!
Beside this big update, I'm working hard to bring a new playable character before the **Scarlet Forest Update**. As you might guess, adding new enemy or character take a lot of time, mostly because animation is done frame by frame and also because I'm still solo on this. In any case, I'll continue to provide as much info regarding development as I can.

Misc + Fixed grammar and spelling errors across dialogue of the game. + Changed how enemies code is handle. Not a big change for the player, it's mostly an optimization for now but in the end, it will greatly decreased time spent adding new enemies. Player's characters will receive similar treatment this week.
Bug Fixes + Fixed an issue where MP cost was not properly calculated for capacity.
