In February we will release a massive patch for Treasure Hunter Simulator that will address the majority of issues the community has voiced so far and also alter some of the design choices based on suggestions from the playerbase.
This patch is something to look forward to no matter if you already like the game or not. If you like it, you will most definitely like it even more. And if you had complains about the game, that patch might very well convince you to have another look at the game.
Here a quick rundown of some of the changes in the upcoming patch.
Items and treasures will be randomized only once when you enter the map and remain static throughout your play-through. The Exploration Mode remains unaffected and will still randomize on each entry, but the Exploration Mode will no longer require to complete the Story Mode.
A lot more items and treasures have been added to all locations and the items you find are now more location specific.
All prices have been rebalanced and made more realistic. In general rarer items yield a lot more money now while the trash remains at 1 or 2 dollars. New metal detectors and travelling costs have been increased for balancing purposes.
Jobs now also reward money on top of prestige with the purpose to cover most of the travelling costs to the location they send you to. Combined with more money from the items you find this will counter the need to grind for money.
Rather than turning digging into more of a mini game as initially plant, we felt that the identification of items is a way more important component. Identifying items has now been redesigned and is a sort of mini game in itself rather than just pressing a button.
The office size has been increased, displays and display cases have been added allowing you to showcase your rarer items and group them into small expositions (like rare coins). You can also move freely around the office now.
The job UI has received an overhaul and is now simpler to navigate.
Performance on various specs has been significantly improved. All locations also underwent performance improvements.
Lots of bug fixes and smaller improvements.
The patch will also come with lots of bug fixes and smaller improvements and even a reduction in loading screens. We will post more about details concerning changes to single systems and additional changes not yet included in the above list starting next week. For now we just wanted to let you know what we are up to and what you can expect from the next patch.
Patch #4 Live!
Hello Treasure Hunters,
We just released our fourth patch for Treasure Hunter Simulator. This patch is a smaller one focusing mostly on fixing some QA issues that you reported, and it paves the way for a seriously large and extensive patch to come in the near future.
Patch #4:
The „Globetrotter” achievement now works correctly.
You can now use the ESC key to go back in the game menus.
The controls can now be changed in-game and not only via the main menu as before.
A “Default” button has been added to controls and video settings.
The Tenczyn Castle, Oman Oasis, Syrian Temple and Irish Cliffs had their performance improved.
We hope that these changes will make you enjoy Treasure Hunter Simulator a bit more!
Patch #3 is here!
Hello Treasure Hunters,
We are happy to bring you another set of improvements to our game! You can find the full list below, so without further ado, we invite you to check them all out:
"Find Item" quests have been improved:
The item you are looking for will now always spawn
A new radar will appear on the map to show you where to search for the item
“Trail" quests have been improved:
Trail quests have a new confirmation window (to avoid covering up the map)
When accepting a trail quest the end point/destination will be shown on your map
The compass now has an indicator showing you where to go
The quest timer is now a countdown
Features:
The inventory now displays a total value of items collected
The character walking and running animations have been improved
Moments, when the game saves, are now indicated by a small icon in the lower left corner
You can now bind arrows and the tab key in the keybindings
We hope that you will enjoy all the improvements. Let us know in the comments section what you think of it. It would be awesome if you could add a positive review for us on Steam, it will be a massive help for us ːsteamhappyː
Have fun, Doctor Jones
Patch #2 is live now!
Fellow Treasure Hunters,
First of all, thank you for all the conversations we have every day with you! Thanks a million for all your feedback and reporting everything that needs a fix! We are gathering all the information and already have some big plans. We can’t say much more right now, as we are still shaping up the idea, but it is worth to wait a bit longer to see where Treasure Hunter Simulator is heading, so stay tuned!
Fixes:
Language change in options now needs to be confirmed with the Apply button.
The items Condition is now appropriately labeled.
Photoquests bug fixes.
All Photoquests have attachments now.
We explained better the attachment picture needed for the legendary item in Slovakian Valley. It’s easier to find it now.
You can now use mark items and sell multiple of them in the collection menu. Simply right-click the item to mark it.
The game now has the official Steam Controller profile.
Treasure Hunter achievement is fixed and should pop up correctly.
Small UI changes
Please, leave a comment if your problems were fixed and let us know what you think about the patch #2!
All the best, DRAGO Entertainment & Movie Games Teams
Hot Fix #1
We just released a small patch to apply fixes for the following issues:
Bavarian Lake is no longer dark. The “night problem” has been fixed and the map will now display correctly with a nice late afternoon setting.
Achievements are now being correctly registered. When you find the next legendary item or finish the next job, the appropriate Steam achievements will trigger correctly.
Treasure Hunter Simulator will no longer trigger VR on game start.
The base screen resolution is now being set to 1024x768 on first launch which should allow all those who has issues with a wrong resolution setting to set their resolution manually.
We are now working on further bug fixes and improvements with another patch planned toward the end of the week.
We need your support + some launch afterthoughts
Dear Treasure Hunters,
We wanted to thank each of you for playing our game and for all the comments you leave on the Discussion boards and under your reviews. All of them have been read carefully, we are writing down every piece of feedback you share with us. Some changes have already been made yesterday, but this is just a beginning.
If you have anything to say about how we can improve the game, please write it in the comments section below. It doesn’t matter if you did it already somewhere else or somebody posted it in an earlier comment. Each voice counts and we will be able to focus on the things that matter to the majority if they are gathered in one place. So far we have three threads about resolution, mouse clicking and Night Map. Please go there if you’re seeking a solution for one of those.
Aware of the flaws, we aim to improve the game and provide you with the best experience. That’s why the reviews are so important for us. First of all, they bring us a lot of constructive feedback. Secondly, Treasure Hunter Simulator has reached “Mixed” review status. That makes our organic reach on Steam dropping dramatically and we would be able to reach many more players if we reached the “Positive” status. If you like the game, please spare a couple of minutes to write a review. If you don’t like something in our game but still enjoy it, give us a chance to make it better and switch your review into positive. That would mean A WORLD to us!
Of course, we fully understand if you dislike the game. We saw that some people gave us a negative review. We consider it an opportunity to fix the things they mentioned and are grateful for their feedback. In the meantime, we are working hard on the first fix that we announced yesterday.
Thanks again, we appreciate everyone that has already given a feedback and we are looking forward to anything you will comment here. Until next time Hunters!

Preparation for #1 Patch!
We are excited to see that you really dug into the adventure Treasure Hunter has to offer!
This is especially important to us, as Treasure Hunter Simulator is not a “launch and forget” game for us, but quite the opposite. We have plans to further working on the game beyond just providing the bug fixes. We intend to continue improving the game and add new content.
That is why we will closely follow your feedback and suggestions, look for things you enjoy the most and develop them, but also address the things you don’t like and do our best to improve them.
On the basis of a feedback provided by you and the press, by far we recognised certain areas we definitely want to improve on, for e.g.:
adding new items to find in order to increase the diversity of findings
add cash rewards for jobs in addition to the prestige
rebalance the item value to be more realistic just to name a few
While we can’t provide a date for the patch just yet, we will keep you informed about the progress and all additions to the list of things we want to improve based on your feedback.
Thank you,
DRAGO Entertainment & Movie Games Teams
Treasure Hunter Simulator is available NOW!
Fellow Treasure Hunters,
Thank you for your great support, understanding and will to collaborate.
It has been a long way, like every hunt for the real treasures - full of rusty nails, like the delay of a release day, but also invaluable findings - such as this community full of great players willing to give our game a chance.
So now, no more our talking, grab your metal detectors and get ready to dig in!
Have a great time playing!

Treasure Hunter Simulator has launched
Fellow Treasure Hunters,
The wait is almost over! Thanks for your patience and your continuous support!
We’ve used the last couple of weeks to polish a lot of elements of our game so that you could enjoy your adventures to the fullest. Let’s celebrate it with finding some treasures, shall we?
Are you prepared? Does the metal detector have a full battery? Are your old, comfy shoes ready and polished? Is the canteen full of water? Is the backpack empty and waiting for goodies? Just don’t forget a hat and some tanning oil, so that you won’t get sunburned.
As you may remember, we promised additional languages for the release. English, Spanish, German, Russian, French, Italian, Turkish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Polish are there! We are also happy to announce that we managed to add Portuguese to the list!
That’s not all! To celebrate the premiere even louder, we discounted the game for 15% as a reward for you to compensate for the postponed release date. So if you don’t own the game yet, it’s the best time to grab it for a bit less.
We are adding last details, and as soon we are ready, we will make the game live!
Kind regards,
DRAGO Entertainment & Movie Games Teams
Grab your metal detectors on December 6th!
Fellow Treasure Hunters,
We are happy to announce the new release date for Treasure Hunter Simulator - 6th of December.
In many countries, the 6th of December is Saint Nicholas Day. Since we celebrate it in our homeland (Poland) by preparing presents for our close ones, we thought we would do the same for you and release Treasure Hunter Simulator on that day.
Decission to delay the release day probably caused a lot dissapointment, but we hope that you would get back in the hunting mood once we tell you that the game will have an additional discount on the release day!
(Not to mention the entire polishing of the game we managed to do over the past weeks).
Thank you for all your understanding and support. Hopefully, you are still ready to start the adventure and bring loads of treasures home!
