We apologize for the inconvenience, but a horrible illusive bug appeared last minute which is causing crashes on most maps. The update unfortunately will be postponed to sometime early next week, we will be working hard to identify the bug. It's very difficult since it only happens in finalized builds of the game. Sorry everyone!

This update will include full support for character modding, which has been designed to be the most user friendly and automated system we have made yet! Creating a new character mod can take as little as 5 minutes, so be prepared for loads of user content!

Ps, we are preparing for full release of version 1.0 after this update, so do not expect a great deal of content in this update besides characters, since this coming update is purely focused on alpha testing for mods. Loads of content is on it's way for version 1.0 though, so hold tight! Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Auto LOD Generation In Character Mods! - Mod News

Hello everyone. We wanted to give modders a sneak peak into progress of mod support for characters. In UEBS1 LODs(Level of detail) and polygon optimization was completely up to the modder making the character. This was problematic for many users since many people do not have access to the tools required, or the experience required.

Great news! Modded characters are now completely automatically optimized procedurally in game. not only does the system automatically crunch and remove polygons for distant characters, but it's even smart enough to identify objects (such as weapons and shields) that can be easily turned into sprites to ensure those small details are preserved at long render distances, all while keeping frame counts up. We look forward to the first update for mod support and we cannot wait to see your work!

Update Beta V0.1.5 - Artillery, Iron Sights And More!

Hello everyone. Hope you all had a fantastic holiday and new years! We decided to do a medium content update before diving too deep into mod support(Since this may take longer than anticipated). We appreciate your patience and we are very excited to get this game into version 1.0!

New Features/Content:
-New iron sights in first person mode. Most units using guns have this feature both in sandbox and campaigns.
-New stationary powerful long range artillery unit in WW2 category.
-New 'Terrorist Puppet' unit added.
-Balance changed in invasion mode. Some weapons buffed, and round settings changed.
-Aiming and iron sights also increase accuracy while aiming.


Fixes:
-Death sounds for Jedi fixed(Was using 'Juice Man' death sounds).
-Bug fixed in unit editor that caused the wrong unit to be loaded in.
- reduced animation twitchiness in possession.
- possession ragdoll improved.
- spinning first-person gun fixed.
- idle animation cycling added to possession.
- basic iron sights added to FPS invasion and sandbox.

Beta v0.1 Out Now!

Hello everyone. So it was a tough push to get to beta, but we have finally arrived. Lots of exciting things to try out!

-New FPS Invasion mode in Campaigns (Infinite wave based zombie FPS).
-New 'final battle' mission in Roman Campaign (High difficulty).
-New God power, 'Tornado'.
-Re-written player avatar animation system used in player possession, and FPS Invasion.
-Player controller now has the ability to use multiple weapons, and weapon types(Campaign only).
-New Mongolian empire soldier.
-Projectile physics bug fixed, where larger units had similar hit boxes to smaller units.
-Dozens of other small fixes and changes.

Updated Roadmap, Mod Support, & Delayed Release

Hello everyone! We just updated the roadmap, and we are excited to show you where things are going. Unfortunately release of version 1.0 is being delayed to sometime in the early new year. However, the highly requested mod support is almost within reach!

We are excited to announce that the next update is transitioning from alpha into Beta v0.1. After that release, mod support will officially start in full time development. Beta v0.2 will be the first mod support update, which will be focused on character modding. Other mod focused updates will follow.

Halloween Units, New Map And Much More! V0.7

Happy weekend everyone! We would again like to apologize for the delay. The is partly due to my nasty case of Covid (Robert the CEO), which lasted close to 2 weeks. That said this update is rich with content!

-New map, 'Viking Winter'. 8x8km map of snowy mountains, frozen lakes, and Viking settlements.
-New 'Laser Knight' hero who wields a powerful laser sword which has tremendous blocking and damage.
- Halloween unit 'Werewolf', a powerful melee unit.
-Halloween unit 'ghost'. A ranged unit who deals devastating magic splash damage.
-New 'Juice Man' unit. He's, special..
-New streaming system implemented for characters and assets(This is in preparation for future modding)
-Other small code changes and fixes.

T-Rex, Omaha Beach and More! - V0.6

Hello everyone. Again we are sorry for the delay, but alpha v0.6 has arrived! Below I will list the changes.

-New Omaha Beach remake. A large scaled up version of the iconic location. Placing units in the water will spawn them in U-boats.(This map was part of the reason for delay, we need to develop a spawning system for the AI)

-New T-Rex unit! That's right, this big boy is finally in the game!

-New Orc fantasy unit!

--New ranged behavior, 'goal attack range'. Ranged units will fire upon their enemy when in range, however between firing they will run forward slightly until they are at their preferred distance. This allows units in the back to also get in range with their enemy. This also nerfed ranged units that had slightly farther attack range to not be as effective against units with less range.

-Fixed bug where the AI sometimes fell to the ground at the very start, injuring or even killing them.

-Null team switch UI for RTS fixed in highland map.

-AI system has some ability to spawn pre-pooled AI.

-Other small changes and fixes.

v0.5 Now Live! - 3 New Units, New Campaign Mission And More!

Hello everyone. We have another new content update for you! Below we will list some of the content and fixes. PS, there is no new map in this update since the latest one requires some special care. ;)


New Content/Fixes:
-New mission added to Birdbarian Hordes, 'The Rescue'. RTS stealth mission where you rescue a legion of Roman prisoners.

-New modern soldier unit.(Full strafing while shooting and new animation sets).

-New 1800s French revolution era soldier.

-New Ostrich unit! Watch out, he's quick!

-Fixed a bug where 'Exit Menu' button would not work during possession.

-Some issues fixed with RTS pathfinding.

-New Dynamic obstacles feature in pathfinding system. Allows of large objects to be moved, added or deleted in real time, dramatically changing paths for AI. (Featured in new campaign mission where a large castle gate opens allowing prisoners to escape)

Campaign, 3 New Units And WW2 Map Now Live!

Our Biggest Update Yet:
Hello everyone. We apologize for the delay, but we have for you our biggest update yet! The campaign system took us longer than expected, but we are happy with where it is now, and we feel the possibilities are endless! The campaign in this update is title "The Birdbarian Hordes!", a Roman times parody and alternate history where birds rise up against the power of Rome, instead of Barbarians. Currently there is only one demo level, but much more are coming, including completely new campaigns and stories. (Possibly a WW2 first person campaign next?!)

Why Campaigns In UEBS2?
Campaigns offer an alternate, more engaging and challenging experience for the user, but one of the main purposes is the future of modding. Part of the reason development has taken longer than expected, is that everything we add to the campaigns has to be user friendly and moddable. Everything you see and experience in these campaigns will be possible to create or modify yourself, allowing the modding community infinite possibilities to potentially create entire user made games.


Update Notes:
- Campaigns now active! One campaign demo is playable, more are coming.
- 3 new units. Roman General, Roman Archer and Giant Chicken.
- New WW2 map with miles of trenches, craters and bunkers.
- Many rules and behaviors unique to campaign missions added.
- Full Auto Tank now has armor and other matching stats to original tank.
- Some changes made to RTS pathfinding.


Possession changes:
- Added aim/zoom for ranged units
- Added screen damage indicator
- Fixed collision issues with third-person camera
