Wendar Village + Tactical Mode (WIP) - 0.0.17v4
Wendar Village
In the heart of the western peninsula lies Wendar Village. Once a crossroads village that thrived off regional agricultural trade, it now lies in ruin and occupation. It's irrigation channels have become defensive moats, and its once lively market and living quarters a display of graves. It's Warling inhabitants live enslaved in cages, they long for freedom, and will gladly fight for any cube who free's them.
Super excited to introduce Villages! These are the first of what I've been calling more 'standardized' locations. Or rather, locations that have a somewhat consistent setup to them! Think 'Siege the Castle' or 'Liberate the Village' or 'Open the Gate' - that sort of thing :) Next step will be to test out village upgrades! But I'm waiting to get some things on the map in place (mainly being able to direct peasants to any particular location)
I started working on standardized assets too, which will let me quickly swap out blocked locations walls/buildings to a different theme! :D

Easter Egg Hunt!
Allllllright Gunters, now's the time! The future of The OASI-- wait.... wrong script. Okay so this is NOT Ready Player One, this is Warcube! :D and while there's ALWAYS many, many regular Easter Eggs to find in Warcube, I've actually added some REAL Easter Eggs for you guys to find :D I've tagged the locations on the map with a floating egg, but that's all I'm saying ;) let me know whether they were easy or hard to find, that way I know how much I need to step up my hiding game :D
Okay so first off, I've missed you guys :) second, It's been a wild month and a half to say the least, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who's been so supportive since the funeral last month, it really means a lot to me. Sorry to go dark for so long, I just really needed some time to lay low. The good news is, I spent a lot of that time remaking a large portion of Warcube! Unfortunately it's the boring part of the game that you usuaallly don't end up seeing, like saving map data, player info, how units are spawned into locations, all that jazz. But the good news is, finally sitting down and doing this is going to REALLY help me moving forward. Before now I'd found myself slowing down making features and content because I knew that the systems I'd originally built into the game, weren't going to hold up if I wanted to add any complexity to it. This is mainly because after a year of development, and getting feedback from you guys, I realized I needed a much more flexible system for organizing the game data so more complex things can happen in the game! Sounds kinda boring, I know, but I promise its cool :D

GARRISON CHANGES
So I'm going to get ready and start rolling out some new location types on the map soon, I'm thinking Villages will be the first. And this is going to change the way that garrisons work. You wont be able to store units at Forts/Outposts anymore, instead Castles will be the primary place to store units. So in the mean time, your units will just be congregating at the Siege Camp again :) any units that you DID have at the outposts should have been automatically moved to the Old Home Siege Camp!
I fixed a TON of bugs! But I also created a bunch more in the process of rebuilding things xP so if you DO find something thats broken, definitely let me know ASAP. Also! I
think* that everyones map data should have been brought across no problem, but definitely give a shout if it didnt!

BOOM! Welcome to the bottom paragraph, if you can't tell already it's kind of my favorite. Mainly because I silently don't believe anyone reads it, and if you do read it, It makes me feel like I'm actually just getting to talk to you directly :) something I want to start getting better at, is finding ways to get more feedback and have a conversation about it, I've thought about doing a sort of weekly twitch meeting or something, but I'm just not sure what would work best. Sad day + small delay!
Hi friends!
Just wanted to post real quick - my Grandpa died this past week :( so I'll be taking a little bit of time away for the funeral, which will push the update back.
He was a really cool guy :) always clever and quick to crack a joke, definitely miss him. Most of the family is at peace right now though.
If you guys could, definitely watch over the forum for me and answer any questions that new people might have, it would mean a ton to me :)

Warcubiversary + Fort Mungus - 0.0.15v1
Fort Mungus
Broadborough Estates was once home to the finest Warling Mead. But following the Red Chaos Rebellion, a certain ruthless captain by the name of 'Hugh Mungus' and his company looted the estate. In a surprising turn of events, instead of the usual loot and torch, he chose to keep the vineyard and reinforce the estate defenses. Humbly dubbing the location 'Fort Mungus'. It's defenses are quite good, though the same could not be said for it's mead anymore.
Well! I wanted to have this update along with a LOT of other stuff ready for the anniversary update :) but it just wasnt ready. And if there's even just ONE thing I've learned this past year, it's to slow down a little bit, so that I don't just ship a bunch of broken things :P (seriously, go look at the like 4 updates after launch lol) I genuinely just get too excited to have people play things, it's one of the best feelings :D BUT! I hope you guys enjoy Fort Mungus, it's probably my favorite so far, got a lot of clever things in it - we'll see if you find them! ;D

1 Year Anniversary of Warcube!
Wahoo! Can you believe it's been a year already?!
Literally a year ago I was on 60+ hours of no sleep but more thrilled than ever to launch Warcube :D only to then stay up another 12 hours to fix all the bugs I accidentally shipped with :P
Being thankful for all the support you guys give is the biggest understatement
I've been blown away by the awesome community that Warcube has now, and I'm pumped for moving into this next year as I wrap up core functionality and charge into heavy content creation.
Huge shout out to everyone who's been helping make this game the best it can be ːsteamhappyː

Well friends, I've been digging into future factions and just realized that the old map wasnt cutting it :) so I've gone back to scratch to make a brand spankin' new one! ːsteamhappyː let me know what you think of it so far! I tried to reorganize the locations in a way that I thought made sense? But you know.. staying up too late = not the best logic :P so let me know what you think!
