Balance



  • Reduced the requirement of Tithe Collector from 10 million credits to 500K credits
  • Reborn Warmaster's burst skill had its damage reduced by 20%, cooldown increased by 25%, spread increased by 30%
  • Medusae got its HP reduced to 3000 and its base damage from 650 to 250
  • Wrack Gunner no longer has a knockdown
  • Greatly increased enemy insta-heal skill cooldowns
  • Reduced passive HP regen of numerous enemies by 50%
  • Medusae's drain skill and the Talos Twin Haywire Blaster skill no longer pass through covers

Balance



  • Fusion has been changed: A fresh Relic item will now show 0% in the Fusion panel, unlocking its first new enchant at 50% and the second one at 100% Fusion level. The maximum Power Rating of a relic item will be based on item level, e.g. a level 30 Relic will have a lower PR than a level 40 one.
  • Tarot has been changed: Spawning a Tarot mission will now instantly begin the mission instead of spawning it somewhere on the Starmap, allowing for a larger variety of Tarot missions.

Inquisitors,

the time has come for us to share more details about the future of Martyr! This means that we're presenting you a brand new Roadmap, which will hopefully communicate all our future plans for the game clearly, including all free updates (Chapters and smaller patches), with more accurate information added as they are developed.

What you can see right now is the first, static iteration of our soon-to-be dynamic Roadmap for the game. Please take a look, and let us know what you think!

What this Roadmap contains is our definite outline for the game's close future. As you can see, our plan for Martyr includes numerous free content updates and events, and we will keep to this plan throughout the lifetime of the game.

With that said, let's now talk a little bit about the first upcoming milestone.

Chapter 1: Drukhari



The first free content update of Martyr will be a Dark Eldar themed Chapter - this means a new Investigation series tied with a new enemy faction, the mysterious Drukhari, a new Subsector called Triglav where Inquisitors can rank up. The update also brings new planets, new missions, and various other in-game elements, so every Inquisitor shall find something new as the first Chapter starts.

With the additional new free content we'll be also increasing the level cap to 70. Power Rating of enemies and items will increase as well in correlation with this change.

We feel that it is also important to address all the constructive feedback that we have received during the Warzone. We want to assure everyone that we have received and processed all your requests, observations, but implementing them will take time - as you can see on the Roadmap, we have quite the work cut out for us. Not only is the launch of Chapter 1 is creeping up on us, but we would have to find the time between these major content updates to tend to these requests from the community, minor and major ones alike.

Therefore, we'd like to ask for your understanding - our utmost goal is to deliver to you the necessary fixes and our vision for the game. Our team is small, but we are dedicated, and we will keep working hard on Martyr to ensure that we reach our goals. Currently, our plan is to take a harder look at all the feedback that we have received so far after the arrival of the Dark Eldar, and do something about it.

As for the Warzone, although it was the event leading up to the first Chapter, it will remain active and playable for everyone.

After all, in the grim dark future, there is only war…

  • Fixed a display bug that caused a disparity of 1 in the displayed Battle level

Balance

  • Unholy Cathedral: Enemies now drop Credits, and if you surrender after 5 minutes, you still get rewards
  • After defeating the Cult Leader in Chapter 4, Van Wynter's Legacy 3, the mission will now auto complete
  • Reborn Warmaster is now shooting while retreating if threatened in melee range
  • Rosarius Force Field on Crit enchant proc rate was nerfed from 20% to 5% and its duration was reduced from 5 sec to 2 sec
  • The buff from Digital Weapons does not stack anymore
  • Time Warp's duration is now shortened by channeled skills as well
  • The Extermination skill's tooltip did not indicate the balance changes to this spell: It only summons 1 pillar now that does not follow targets
  • The Ranged skills of Catheran Sword and the Nullrod are now counting as ranged and therefore counting in several Heroic Deed progression along with collision checking

Misc

  • Added a 0.1 sec delay to switching characters in the Main Menu
  • Explosion debris will now disappear a bit faster

New Feature - Warzone



The Warzone is now open at the Lacaon System!

  • There are 5 Stages, and each Stage consists of 10 battles
  • After these stages, the Warzone Missions are unlocked with infinite levels
  • Minimum Power Rating: 1100
  • Further mission tiers unlock at 1200,1300,1400, and 1500 Power Rating
  • Battles have certain Hazards (challenge parameters), one is unlocked at the end of every Stage
  • Each zone within a Warzone map is closed by a gate that unlocks only after the room has been cleared
  • Different passive effects and world skills can be bought for each mission
  • Players gain Warzone XP contributing towards Warzone Levels
  • Each Warzone Level gives +1% Maximum HP, Suppression, and Damage for Warzone missions
  • In the Warzone you will be able to gain new rewards, collect Favours, unlock three passive and an active skill slot
  • Skill slots are gained by advancing your ranking in the Warzone, and these skills are only usable in the Warzone. Overall there are 20 passive and 4 active skills to choose from
  • Favours will be later used for summoning the Nemesys and for buying items from the Warzone Vendor (coming soon)

  • Fixed unreachable chests on several maps
  • Fixed Bunker Busting missions that were undoable

    • Unholy Cathedral now has a limited enemy count, but the difficulty increases over time
    • The Tech Priest's HP in the Data Sanctum defense mission (Chapter 3, Mission 4) was doubled, and he now regenerates HP as well
    • Reanimator Glands: Damage reduce modifier was increased from 50% to 80%
    • Chance to trigger a Rosarius Force Field when hit has been decreased 10 % to 2 %, and the duration is shorter by 1 sec
    • The Psychic Dominion perk got its 100% damage bonus reduced by 25%
    • The Mind Rift perk got its 50% damage bonus increased by 25%
    • Shields now benefit from difficulty modifiers
    • Sentinel Armor - Summoned turret HP increased by 33%
    • The "Seek the Forbidden Knowledge" cabal quest is reworked: Unholy Codex is now dropped by Word Bearers Sorcerers, Champions, Havocs and Marines with a 50% chance, but the required amount is increased a bit (103-175)
    • Adjusted the "Reave the Plague Lord" cabal quest: Relics of Nurgle are now dropped with 35% chance instead of 25%
    • Cabal directive reroll is now making sure that the cabal won't receive the same directive again
    • Assassin holograms no longer do damage to shields
    • The Vox Caster's Orbital Strike has got its damage reduced by 20% and delay before impact has been increased by 1 sec
    • Many Campaign Investigations got their Fate rewards reduced. A full playthrough of the Campaign will net around 700 less Fate now for a fresh character.

      • To compensate, Rank XP gain from Campaign Investigations has been increased by 50%. This is roughly the same amount of XP that players would have received from dumping their bonus Campaign Fate into Tarot missions, so Campaign leveling pace remains unaltered.

    • Execution cutscenes can now be skipped via toggling "Elaborate executions" in the Game Options
    • Adjusted the size of the Skull Mask
    • Dedicated server stability improvements
    • Skull piles are no longer obstacles

    A new Global Event will take place in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr starting June 22, 2018, 7:00PM CEST (after a 2 hour period of maintenance).

    Unholy Incursion takes the players to the Lacaon system where you'll be responding to the heavy Chaos Space Marine presence - with appropriate force.

    Based on the community's feedback we're offering separate tiers of rewards and an extended period: this week-long event will conclude on June 29, so every player will be able to join and meet the criteria. There will be three special named enemies from the three participating Fallen Astartes Legions (Alpha Legion, Black Legion and Word Bearers.)

    Event description:

    The backwater Lacaon System was cut off from the Sector for a long period of time and it remains a severely problematic region for the Caligari Conclave. A highly-classified Inquisitorial investigation that successfully foiled a collaboration of three Chaos Marine Legions in the Subsector has already proven that the Lacaon System could play a significant role in the next phase of their master plan. The Holy Ordos have been allocating resources to monitor this region.

    Recent events indicate that the time has come to intervene. The worlds in the Lacaon System still bear the marks of the pacification process against the heretic forces that gained power during the decades of separation. Something has stirred up the flames of unrest in the system again. There has been a terrifying surge in cultist activity on almost every world in the region, slowly assuming apocalyptic proportions. To make matters worse, Inquisitorial assets report the presence of various Chaos Marine Legions as well – these abominations are working in unison again, wreaking havoc on the planets crippled by the recent civil wars.

    By the time the Imperium could react, they had already lost one world in the system. It was deemed to be past recovery and the heavy orbital bombardments turned Draquis Alpha to ashes. The most important planet, Lacaon Maioris, is a heavily fortified Shrine World that is safe for now, but the coordinated attacks of the enemy are still threatening the other planets.

    The Caligari Conclave is sending all available agents to the Lacaon System. The mission is simple, but it is of vital importance: stop the unholy incursion on the affected worlds and save the Lacaon System.


    Updates to W40K: Inquisitor - Martyr have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client (in on-line mode) is restarted. Please also note that during maintenance, players will be unable to login.
