A new global event is starting today (7pm CEST) in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, lasting throughout the weekend (June 15-17). The event is titled Invasion of Malcorum Prime and includes new community-wide goals, great rewards and a separate leaderboard. This event will be the first chance for the most skillful Inquisitors to permanently etch their name into the game.
Maintenance before the Event starts at 5PM CEST.
This is the first step in our journey towards endgame, as described here.
Event description:
Something is rotten on Malcorum Prime, one of the Astra Militarium fortress worlds in the Tenebra Subsector. The verdant planet has ceased to be an important military hub, but the colossal strongholds still accommodate millions of Guardsmen, who have been serving the Imperium loyally – until recently. Some hidden taint has corrupted the Hammers of the Emperor on such a scale that the revolts have escalated into a planet-wide conflict. Malcorum Prime is facing an open war between the loyal and rebellious Guardsmen, while sacred divinations and intelligence reports indicate that it might be only the beginning of a more sinister conflict. The Caligari Conclave will dispatch all available Inquisitors to the world that is slowly succumbing to madness.
Join the war for Malcorum Prime, purge the rebels on various battlefields and cleanse the world before darkness falls.

Updates to W40K: Inquisitor - Martyr have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client (in on-line mode) is restarted. During server maintenance, players will be unable to login.
This is the update that grants the Cherub in-game companion for all the players in our current database. Once again, sorry for the server downtime at launch, we are constantly improving server capacity and performance. As an additional token of our repentance, all players will also receive a 100% XP bonus consumable that lasts for 5 missions. The Emperor Protects.

Martyr - Endgame Overview
Inquisitors,
many of you have been asking about our plans regarding endgame progression, and the time has finally come for this topic.
In the close future, a series of events will lead up to our first Chapter update. Here is a brief timeline of our plans about the challenges awaiting Inquisitors worldwide:
During the next weekend (June 15-17), a shorter global event will take place. This will be tied in with a new short story from the Caligari Archivum, and Inquisitors will have to deal with invaders at a new point of interest. There will be community-wide goals to achieve for this event, and of course, successful Inquisitors' efforts won't go unrewarded.
There will be leaderboards implemented for the event (along with all such events in the future). This event will be the first chance for the most skillful Inquisitors to permanently etch their name into the game.
A few weeks after this introductory event, the foreshadowing of the Warzone begins with a week-long event that will have a permanent result on the game world based on the community's deeds within the Caligari Sector. This event will take place in the Lacaon System.
The Warzone will open soon afterwards, unlocking endgame leveling for players. This will mean that on the Progression tab, new active and passive skills can be unlocked via doing Endless missions within the Warzone. These missions will be gradually tougher and only seasoned veterans of the Caligari Sector will be able to progress far into the Warzone.
Within the Warzone, players will be able to search for keys that can be used for spawning a special Boss, a Nemesys, that will drop better quality, rarer items for those who are worthy enough to face them.
The Warzone means the lead-up to our first Chapter. Currently, there is one subsector available in the game world - the Tenebra Subsector (Tier I). The new Chapter will begin with yet another global event in late summer, and when the event ends, a whole new Subsector will be opened to players (Tier II). This Chapter will introduce the Dark Eldar faction along with an increased level cap, new items, perks, enchants, and new missions.
Of course, all such Events and Chapter updates will be completely free for everyone.
This is the base of the Chapter system, and our plan is to keep this progression going with unlocking new Chapters throughout the lifespan of the game.
To sum up:
A series of Global Events will introduce the Warzone within ~1 month
Within the Warzone, players will be able to unlock active and passive skills via Endless leveling
These events will have a global community goal and a permanent effect on the game world
The Warzone also allows players to farm keys used for fighting a Nemesys boss
After the Warzone, the second Subsector will be unlocked through an event
This will increase maximum level cap, introduce a new faction, new items, perks, enchants, quests, and more.
More and more Chapter updates will come as the game progresses along, providing free content throughout the lifespan of the game.

Due to government-issued country-wide IP bans, several Russian players are finding themselves unable to connect to the game. Because of this, we have decided to temporarily make Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr unavailable for purchase to new users in Russia, until these issues are resolved. It wouldn't be fair to sell a game that players are unable to use as intended.

Dear Inquisitors,
due to the unexpectedly high number of players, our game servers went down for a few hours.
First of all, we are terribly sorry for the server issues. It was a combination of complex issues, but it was mainly the global chat that overloaded the servers. We have temporarily disabled global chat to solve this issue so everyone is able to play at least (Party chat, etc. will continue to operate). Of course, this is a temporary solution, expect a full update solving the issue completely.
To ensure maximum safety, we had to wipe account progress completely from the servers. We felt like this is not a big sacrifice as of now, since most people could only play for a short amount of time before the issue occurred.
As a token of our repentance, every one of you will receive a special Cherub in-game companion:

Once again, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience that we have caused, and we will continue to work hard to provide the best possible gaming experience.
