We’re releasing a small update today which will resolve some issues with playing with player’s on your Friend’s list.
This includes a problem where if you tried to cancel a game the client would hang until your friend responded to the challenge.
This update just happens to coincide with our second double XP long weekend! Players will earn double the experience for kills and captures in both Skirmish AI and competitive Online matches!
Earn upto 3200 XP versing random online opponents and 2720 XP for wins versus our Veteran Master AI. Players can also brush up on their skills and earn 2240, 1760, 1280 and 800 in Master, Expert, Intermediate and Novice AI matches respectively.

Update 2.1.0
Greetings Kingslayers,
We’re proud to announce our first official post-launch update which includes changes to player progression, game balance, AI improvements as well as some minor bug fixes. Earlier this week we released an AI hotfix, improving the method it was using to calculate its hits and misses in Campaign and Skirmish modes for anyone logged in. With this update, the fix will now be available to offline users.
You’ll see faster progression of their Requisition points in both Multiplayer and Campaign modes, earning larger amounts for winning matches and completing objectives. This means you will be able to unlock new factions at a quicker rate and bring their favourite chapters or clans to the battlefield even sooner.
Don’t think we’ve forgotten about the people who have already played through the campaign: This weekend we’ll be doing a Requisition and Experience Point Giveaway - Players who log in will be rewarded 8000 Experience and 2000 Requisition points to make up for any they would have otherwise missed out on.
We’ve also made numerous changes to both Orks and Space Marines, including buffs to both Space Marine accuracy and a handful of abilities, as well as scaling back some of the Orks’ more overwhelming abilities. For a full list of changes, please refer to the Patch Notes below.

We’ve been working tirelessly over the weekend to bring you an update to our AI. After rigorous testing and help from community members we’re pleased to announce a hotfix to AI hit chance ratios. As many of you have experienced AI was able to consistently land attacks despite routinely low hit chances; this was an unintended side effect of updates to the AI’s chess based decision making capabilities and has thus been fixed.
Online accounts can receive the fix by simply logging on, no download required, if you’re currently online log off and on to receive the fix. Offline accounts will be updated during our official update later this week.

We have a small Hotfix to tide you over before our release on August 26th.
UPDATE NOTES
XP
Skirmish victory give full XP (as if you killed all enemies) like multiplayer.
Resigned games should now give XP as if the player who didn’t resign won.
Fixed issue where players only levelled up after passing the XP required for a level, not if they landed on it
Fix a visual issue in results screen where sometimes the players XP starting level/xp during the count up was in fact based of their new total XP, not the XP from the start of the match - so the values were to high.
Resigned games should now gives XP as if the player who didn’t resign won.
ARMOURY
Fixed all the issues with abilities re-locking and the incorrect number of available skill points being displayed.
CAMPAIGN
Fixed issue where offline players would be unable to continue at the end of a campaign match.
MULTIPLAYER
Fixed a crash that occurred only when drawing a match against a random opponent
GENERAL
Fix for a crash that could occur if friends online status changed exactly as you start loading into a level.
BUG FIXES
Multiplayer menu exception has been fixed. Hopefully this means the issue for some players that have been unable to start matches is now fixed, but we've been unable to reproduce this issue to be able to confirm, so further testing is required.
Offline XP is now saved

Update 1.3 NOW LIVE!
Hi Kingslayers!
The newest Update 1.3 for Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is officially live! Armour Tiers are now available as well as new sound effects have been added so that Boltgun fire sounds just as devastating as it should and best of all the battlefield remains bloodier for longer.
A plethora of new unit and player abilities have been added in this update in an effort to make the Space Marines and Orks more diverse and play very differently. The Orks now behave more like a mob of animalistic hooligans, their abilities having a chance to be a detriment rather than a boon whereas the Space Marines now act as an army of heroes.
This update also includes the Beta version of the Armoury. This means the XP you earn from now on will be persistent and recorded. When you level up you will earn points to spend on unlocking abilities to customize the way you play, you can unlock and assign skills within the armoury.
Finally, we are very excited to announce the first Act of the Campaign where you can finally meet Captain Dracomedes and Librarian Baldassar as they hunt the vile Orks on Hethgar Prime! The first act contains ten lovingly crafted missions that show the Captain’s vicious hunt of the Orks and the Weirdboy Zugtoof.

Rokkit Slam: A rokkit-powered attack that damages the user and all units around him.

Mek’s Tools: The Loota scraps together some additional armour for an adjacent ally

Auspex: Unit engages its Auspex scanner, increasing the accuracy of itself and nearby allies.
Chapter Banner: Place a chapter banner down, bolstering the Weapon Skill of nearby marines.

Grot-Prod: Whips a unit into a frenzy by prodding it with a powerful zapper, damaging it and increasing its critical hit chance.
