Here's a quick update about what we're currently working on at Steel Sky Productions!
Performance issues
We’ve been able to identify that a percentage of bugs we’ve been getting are caused by performance and hardware issues! Thanks to everyone who’s helped us in identifying these issues by submitting reports and reaching out! These issues are a high priority for us and we thank you for your patience as we address them in future patches. You can find known performance related issues and how to resolve some of them here:
Along with addressing issues, we’re still working on upcoming content! We’re excited to be bringing you more of what you love and we hope to give you an insight into our major upcoming milestones at some stage next week. Keep your eyes peeled!
We’re moving offices!
On a different note, our restrictions are appropriately being lifted over the next few weeks/months which means that we’re going to be slowly moving back to our building for work. As we start our caution return, Steel Sky Productions is moving their home within the Arcade! We’re excited to be slowly re-joining civilization and seeing each other face-to-face again. [While social distancing]

Thorns of the Briar Queen DLC
Hello lost souls,
Our first official warband DLC is now live! Thorns of The Briar Queen!
We’re excited to be bringing you magic and an exciting new playstyle, while bringing some Nightvault into Shadespire! We’ve already spoken about Warhammer Underworlds: Online being an alternative release schedule to the tabletop as not is all as it seems in the mirrored city.
The Thorns of the Briar Queen are a large warband of 7 fighters. Their leader - the Briar Queen - is able to make use of all new spell cards, while controlling a horde of geists and spirits who are eternally bound to her will.

The Thorns of the Briar Queen inspire when they are adjacent to an enemy fighter at the start of your activation. Get in close to get stronger!
All units from this warband are able to pass through blocked and occupied hexes!
Varclav has the ability to push all friendly Chainrasps 2 hexes - perfect for overwhelming your opponent or supreme map control!

Thorns of the Briar Queens
The thunderous battle cry of Khorne and his followers has reached the lost streets of Shadespire, setting the skies ablaze and causing cracks across the Mirrored City, awakening a once forgotten evil from the haunted jail below the city.
The formidable death mage, the Briar Queen along with her sadistic geists, have arisen to reclaim the forsaken city, and combat those who oppose Nagash.
Players who log in and finish a match during the Skulls event will receive a Khorne-Themed Card skin. This will only be available to unlock during this event, so get in there and collect some skulls!
During the Skulls event, Warhammer Underworlds: Online will be discounted by 40%, and by 20% for the brand new Thorns of the Briar Queen warband. These discounts are running only for the Skulls event!
The Steel Sky Productions team will also be broadcasting on our Steam page for the Skulls event, so be sure to tune in to chat with some of the developers, ask questions, or even challenge them!

General Bug Fixes Score Immediately - Reworked 'Score Immediately' card reaction to align with tabletop rules. Score Immediately cards can no longer be drawn and scored in the same activation.
Card Bug Fixes + Unkillable no longer stops Shardgale from causing damage to all fighters Flickering Step now makes you choose a target fighter, regardless of roll Flickering Step allows you to pass the hex decision Fixed Too Dumb to Die scoring on death or less than three damage in some edge cases Arm's Length no longer scores with adjacent friendly fighters present + Total Offence now only activates once per round + Total Offence's effect decision can now be passed + Blooded and Rivers of Blood now score correctly with Shardgale Change of Tactics now scores at the end of a charge action Defensive Strike will no longer score from your own fighter dying with Expendable Improvisation can now be used if it is the last card in your hand + Reworked 'Choose Fighter' decision timings to fix issues with Skaven players using Confusion on slower machines + Furious Blow 'Ignore Knockback' effect will now only be removed at the end of the attack that caused the reaction. This fix can be rolled out to other cards with similar issues.

Patch 20: Minor Hotfix
Bug Fixes
+ Stopped Black Hunger from applying to ranged attacks
+ Stopped Fatal Strike from discarding after use
+ Stopped Arm's Legnth from scoring off of friendlies killed by Shardgale
+ Fixed a damage calculation bug that would cause some attacks to not calculate added effects (+Damage, +Dice, etc). Some cards affected by this were:
- Fatal Strike
- Lethal Lunge
- Brutal Swing
- Eadbutt
- Brave Strike
+ My Turn now allows you to pass the Push decision, if you can make an attack without a Push
+ Removed fighter spawning audio during main menu
Known Issues
+ We have currently disabled ‘score immediately’ objectives within Tutorial 3. The tutorial is still completable
+ We've reworked the asset loading for warbands to improve memory usage and performance. This may cause warband models to load in slower on the main menu for some players with poor performance - this will be optimised as we build this system further
+ Animations for Shardgale sometimes doesn’t appear
+ Shardgale may cause issues with scoring Blooded.

Known Issues

Interaction between Blooded and Shardgale may have some issues.
Interaction between Black Hunger and Dark Darts may have some issues, allowing selection of ranged scything attacks. These attacks are rejected by the server (scything attacks can't be Range 2+), so nothing will happen.
My Turn currently doesn't allow you to pass the 'Push' step.

Universal Card Release 03
Hello players!
Our third Universal Card Update is here! You'll be getting 21 new cards to add to your decks.
All you need to do is update and launch your game! There you will be presented with a Universal Card Pack, which when clicked, will gift you with the cards, straight into your deck builder. You'll also be able to see the list of new cards on our Bulletin Board in the start menu screen.

For those decks that are filled with 'Score Immediately' objectives cards, this addition is the cherry on top as you watch that Glory fly in.
MY TURN
Seeking immediate vengeance after having one of your fighters take a wound? My Turn is the card for you. Particularly good when one strike can change the course of the battle.
A DESTINY TO MEET
This upgrade is great for when you can guarantee the survival of one of your fighters at the end of battle. Though, applying this upgrade to your fighter too early could make it a target... which might be what you want.

Fixed issue with card selection that would cause the game to crash.
Card Bug Fixes
Skitter scurry now allows you to push after move, then after attack during a charge (as per FAQ). If you push out of range of the attack the attack will not resolve (as per FAQ)
Skitter scurry no longer triggers twice off of Sneaky stab-stab
Known Issues: + The concede popup during friendly matches (Steam Invites, Match Codes) has the online match string: 'If you concede now you will not receive any Warband XP.' This shouldn't be in the popup for friendly matches, you WON'T get any XP from friendlies even if you finish the match.
