9.6.1 Balancing and Misc
Balancing: Reverted stamina to original formula, however dexterity is 75% less effective. (every 4 dexterity increases max stamina by 1) Redesigned potions. (health potions are now based on spirit instead of max hp, and mana potions are now based on magic instead of max mp) Removed negative recovery from potions. Holy spells now also remove lymph sarcoma, synovial sarcoma, intimal sarcoma, brain tumor, cripple, decay, decompose, and plague. Increased radiation debuff chance from 100% to 500-1000%. Players now begin with 100ap instead of 50. (this is retroactive) Increased dexterity aspect to entropy's direct damage by 1 tier. Improved formula for expression damage. (arthouse has significantly more weight as a building) Increased encounter strength of normal CC enemies. (lowest tier received the largest bonus by going from 1333 to 2100) Buffed Sam by 10-20%. (increased defense by 50%) Buffed Reasonable Request by 10%. Material Converstion now doubles enemy magic. (was +50%) Fate Talent is now +50% luck with +10% chance to crit, instead of +100% luck. Reduced 15 condensed realities from Lost Arsenal.
Misc: Fixed enemy forces from not starting with any resources. Cleaned up some code involing battle intialization. (this may have fixed the random turn 1 enemy invincibility issue) Removed an unused script. (autobattlers are a bit more intelligent) Fixed Mass Conversation MP and AP cost. Fixed Golem not leaving party when entering Undercity.

New Features: Finished ending to chapter 7. Created 22 new books. (total generic is now 215)
Balancing: Redesigned bonus stamina from 50 + dexterity to 50 + (dexterity / (10 + level)). (extreme stamina can still be achieved, but is far more difficult) Both players and enemies will always receive at least 1 mana per turn. Fixed weakness and resistance to a few enemies.
Misc: Fixed walls not being able to be destroyed by powerful attacks that reduce clutter. (slightly increased structural integrity for said walls) Reduced weight of knowledge on environmental realism by 90%. Fixed critical damage from x3 to x2. Fixed Murda Moo encounter. Fixed entropy buffs. Fixed Puncture from being magical attack instead of certain hit. Removed an unused script. Fixed pathing issue in prologue. Slightly improved prologue dialog.

Balancing: Slightly redesigned Poet of Paint Battle. (more health and expression damage, able to panic if burned, can become sick if bleeding) Improved dialog to completing last hunter quest.
Misc: Fixed banking interest. (previous patch increased rate instead of reduced) (reduction is now 90% instead of 80%) Fixed banking talent. (was halving interest rate instead of doubling) Silicon walls can now be removed by extremely low clutter. Fixed Spear of Struggle.

New Features: Expanded Hidden Hall. Created 1 new dungeon. (is sealed off when Alex and Amelia join the team)
Balancing: Increased Quarter Life, Third Life, and Half Life from 2 turns to 3 turns. (short durations can cause an exploit with these skills, but it's an interesting exploit, so the increase will only be from 2 to 3) Enemy resources are now 20% harder to reduce. Enemy forces gain 4-5% more resources each time they level up in tech. Enemy forces gain (15 + 2%) tech rate instead of (12 + 2%) each time they level up in tech. Reduced banking's interest rate by 80%.
Misc: Fixed Golem Hand encounters from being activated outside of reach. Fixed Reaper Cleave from activating twice. Improved some early game dialog. Slightly improved some skill descriptions. Fixed an Island of Sand hunting contract. Silence now affects silicon, acid, arcane, and entropy spells. Fixed Cosmic Color from drastically increasing tech level. (old saves with extreme tech level are now set to 100 tech level)

Misc: Reverted state limit to 999. (solved immunity issue involving new status effects) Enemies no longer crash when they enrage.
Dev note: pushing the engine past 999 states caused extreme discombobulation. Working in the 999 state limit will bring some challenges in the coming years, but they can be overcome. There is still some room for new states, as well as many states that aren't being used at all.

New Features: Added 7 new late game enemies. Increased database limits for enemies, troops, states, common events, and animations from 999 to 3000.
Balancing: Ogre Virus is now Silicon Ogre. Balance is now Expressive Dancer. Additional enemies now cast acid and arcane spells. Some enemies now cast entropy and expression spells. Buffed health to both librarian bosses by almost 50%.
Misc: Fixed various state issues involving silicon, acid, and arcane. (these issues were caused by a long ago deleted system that was still providing immunity to those states) (all future states will placed after 999)
Edit: Reverted back to 9.5.1. The database increase to states caused a commonly occuring crashing bug. 9.5.3 hotfix will be later today.

New Features: Bank now has a withdraw all option. Some enemies are now able to panic if covered in acid. Some previous enemies are now able to cast acid and arcane spells. Created new graphics for blue worshipers, prophets, flying skulls, and some dragons. Alex no longer comments on enemies preparing attacks if knowledge is 30 or above.
Balancing: Doubled weight of crime on bank's interest rate when bank account is over 10 million. Buffed Abomination. (33% more health and now attacks twice per turn) Abomination now gives 20% less exp and gold. Facial dissolve now has a secret 50% chance to blind. PoM now shows up at town level 7 instead of town level 6. Slightly to moderately buffed most of the old arena bosses.
Misc: Fixed ghost town buildings from sometimes locking players inside. Fixed Giant Slash from attacking multiple times.

New Features: Added 5 new elements with 170 new spells. Added 8 new talents. Created new PoM accessories. Created new Ghost Potions.
Balancing: Increased Ghost Potion debuff from 20% to 25%. Organic enemies take double damage from acid, fire, and dark. Robotic enemies receive half damage from fire, ice, wind, dark, holy, psychic, and expression. Staff's arcane spells are now colorless. Robotic enemies take double damage from arcane. Further increased robotic weakness to lightning by 25%. Further increased robotic weakness to water by 50%. Increased weight of invocation speed tenfold. (fast attacks and slow attacks had little meaning at high dexterity) Slightly buffed Mezra Monster. Increased both weight and damage reduction of Protective Mother gear. Slightly reduced damage of Skeletal Tremor. Slightly reduced difficulty of chapter 6 bosses. (most stats reduced by 3-6%) Placed a talent point crystal in chapter 6. (this is found near the NG+ painting) Lowered Thread's luck bonus from 25% to 20%. Increased and simplified EXP softcaps:
Misc: Fixed pathing issue in Poetry of Blood 1. Applied recent gravity buff to its AoE spells. Fixed robots not being immune to cancer. Fixed haywire and confusion. Fixed some Undercity dialog from not working properly on NG+. Fixed a ghost road quest from not resetting on NG+. Removed exp rate from status screen. (this number was confusing players) NPCs no longer roam inside Lampless mayor house. Fixed Fatdink from not returning on NG+. Fixed Stimpacks. (until addiction is added, these are temporarily reduced to 50%) Updated credits with specific track section.
Dev note: Due to the new exp softcaps, chapter 6 was made a step easier.
